Stayed at the Royal Wing Suites,Royal Cliff Resort Pattaya from 27/11/12 for 14 nights.We have stayed there for the past 7 years or so!
Fantastic hotel and exquisite service from all of the very pleasant and curteous Staff.
Mr Klaus Bodo Hund and Mr Chiayanan front desk manager were brill as usual and lead a great team and thanks to new guy Alex very helpful! (might be spelt wrongly ).
I cannot thank the staff here enough for making our holiday so relaxing and enjoyable, especially, since my wife Anne Marie was so ill with the pain from Facial Neuralgia (TN) for part of our stay! Thanks everyone!
There are too many people to praise! As always their attention to detail in the reception, Royal Bar, Caprice restaurant, the La Ronde restaurant and at the pool was amazing!Thank you pool Butlers .
Everyone from Management to the brilliant room organizers and groundstaff went out of their way daily to say hello and ensure everything was okay.
The cleanliness, furnishings and decor in the Royal Wing are immaculate, probably, one of the best we have been in and it's 25 years old! Looks brand new always!
Then there is the rest of the resort,another three seperate Hotels with about 9 other restaurants and bars.Fantastic and spotless.
The food is amazing for example in The Chrysanthemum,Grill Room, Breezeo,Panorama, Rossini's and of course the Caprice and the La Ronde.We did not manage to get to the Japanese Corner or Thai Restaurant or the Maharani Indian this time, but they are usually grand! Fantastic all round!
The Suite in the Royal Wing is amazing.It is ideal,particularly,for my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis and uses a wheelchair! Sitting room, Bedroom,great shower Jacuzzi and toilet all with well designed and positioned handrails and grips! Thank you.Two balconies ,one for sun bathing and one for food and drinks ideal!
Service in the room is wonderful.New Butler Service was ideal! Great bed and fresh linen daily -spotless.Fresh fruit and Chocolates several times daily! Cakes and Canapes and wine weekly at managers discretion !
Too many personal touches - the staff are always one step ahead! Amazing!
I was given a Laptop and access to the internet via Chaiyanan,Alex and Klaus- Ta!
We managed watch the preparations for the wedding of Mimm and Golf- WOW- Amazing! Best Wishes from Anne Marie and Davy!xxxx
We hope to return in November this year!
I could write a book!

We have holidayed in Thailand for the last 21 years and have visited Pattaya at least ten times and so I wonder why it has taken me so long to find this hotel? We have stayed in the Marriot, The Dusit and the Royal Cliff Terrace but this is our first stay in the Royal Wing Suites and spa. It’s certainly not our last!!

From the minute we arrived we felt totally relaxed. I am just sorry that we couldn’t stay longer than 9 nights.

We were greeted by our names on arrival and made to feel very special throughout our stay. The Pool butlers were extremely attentive and completely looked after our every whim and we had personalised sun beds for the duration of our holiday so no getting up early to make sure we could get a bed. In any event there were more than enough beds for everyone. We were even given the gold etched names plates to take home with us. The entire experience was faultless.

The whole team were absolutely fantastic and Klaus the resident manager took time out every day to walk around and chat to the guests to ensure they were happy with everything. I have never seen a hotel team more customer centric.

The hotel is to be refurbished this year as the team describe it as a little ‘tired’. We thought it was beautiful and so can’t imagine how fantastic it will be when it undergone the upgrade. I’m not going to harp on too much as I run the risk of not being able to get a room next time !!!

Room tip: All 86 suites seem to have an equally great view

Most amazing resort we have ever stayed in........ Can't wait for our next visit to Royal Cliff. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views were breathtaking, i wish we had more time on our side to enjoy more of what the resort has to offer!!!

I love the service of this hotel. They even offer to clean your sunglasses by the poolside. I have never found that anywhere. I really appreciate the fact that the manager took the time to sit with me and my partner to go through all the facilities of this hotel. It was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend it. The only downside is that the hotel is very secluded so you cannot walk to downtown. Its about 5 minutes by car to the city centre.

Royal Wing Suites & Spa
This is the first holiday in my life that I wanted it to be over frankly. We changed to the royal wing from the terrace as we didn't like our experience there. First the positives
The room is very nice spacious, the bathroom is modern. No complaints.
The reception area very nice ambiance.
The grill room , the service and food better than anywhere else in the hotel. The pianist very skillful. Also the food at the Thai restaurant is delicious.
The service at the reception professional, friendly, helpful and prompt.
The negatives
The beach of the royal wing is a disgrace to this hotel. The sea is full of every imaginable garbage one can think off and the hotel does nothing about it. Everyday I have been staying there this was the case and every time I went to the beach to have a look I felt like i was staying in a dumpster. Also the steps to the sea is covered with seaweed and moss and extremely slippery. You cannot go in without risking breaking a bone. Next door the Sheraton at least made a small beach area so their guests can walk into the sea without the very slippery steps.
The hotel is not good for children. They seem to be tolerating them rather than welcoming them. Every time we went to the breakfast or lunch near the pool they never gave my son a setting unless I asked them to. There is no service to speak of. If you want anything you have to ask for it and also hope that the one that is serving you understands English. First day we arrived I asked for a children's menu, the waitress didn't have a clue what I was saying so I repeated it one more time. She than went away so I thought she understood and she came with an ice cream menu. So I figured they don't have children's menus anywhere in the hotel.
When we arrive for breakfast usually nobody greets us so we find a place ourselves. Unless we ask we are never offered a tea or coffee or the menu. Basically if you want anything you have to ask and make sure they understand.Certainly not fitting service for a luxury hotel. Also they are not very friendly which wouldn't have been a problem at all if they were professional, but unfriendly and not competent is not a great combination.
The food at the la ronde is very bland, and the breakfast doesn't have any special requirement selections such as gluten free or sugar free foods. These are usually available in most other luxury hotels these days.
The kids corner is a joke. There is play station , some crayons with paper and couple of cheap toys. I felt guilty when I had to leave my son there.
Overall I am sorry I ever booked and came to this hotel. Won't happen again.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your recent visit to Pattaya. We were happy to hear that you like our suites and the amenities we offered. We were especially delighted that you were impressed with our Royal Grill Room restaurant.

We really appreciate your feedback on the other areas which we need to work on. We are deeply saddened that you did not get to experience the true “Royal Wing hospitality”. As soon as I read your comments I called for a meeting with the Royal Wing team straightaway. We discussed on every issue you raised.

Just to inform you that we are planning to improve our beach. It should finish by this year. The kid's world will be launched in the next 2 months. This will be a 200 sq.m play area for kids featuring a maze, soft toys and different types of classes. There will also be a teen zone called The Verge which will be equipped with the latest technology. Our executive chef are in the process of designing different types of menu: kid's menu, vegetarian menu and health menu.

We can guarantee that on your next stay with us you will get to experience the true "Royal Wing first class service!" Do give us another chance.
