It's not often that something lives up to its hype, but Rabbit Resort does and then some. Every member of staff is unfailingly welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The owners Mr & Mrs Rabbit are genuinely interested in all their guests and create a family friendly environment. Then there is Windy the manager. If you could bottle her inter personal skills, her warm character and her smile it would make you millions. Just go there.

If I were a rabbit and needed to find a place to live in Pattaya it would definitely be in the lush grounds of Rabbit Resort. Sophisticated Thai style teak bungalows in a true SE Asian jungle, albiet one that is well manicured and raked.

Celeste and I stayed 5 nights in a cottage room on the adults only pool. (There is a much larger family pool on the grounds too). Looking back at the website after we returned home, the website's example of a cottage room was the room we stayed in. The furnishings on the website were exactly as our room was decorated. The website photos weren't staged.

After traveling SE Asia for 12 straight years, we felt the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have experienced. Anytime you get banana nut bread and chocolate cake with chocolate icing every morning in the breakfast sweets offerings, you have a great buffet. The coffee was brewed per cup by the espresso machine. Breakfast specials changed daily.

We ate dinner here 3 of the five nights. Generally we never eat at the guest hotel. Searching out restaurants is part of the fun. Should have eaten here 4 times, one dinner out was awful. The Rabbit Resort's menu was extensive and well prepared and presented.

Celeste and I walked the length of both Pattaya and Jomtien beaches. Both beaches have good and bad areas (mudflats, rocks, etc.). The Dong Tan beach area of Jomtien Beach (adjacent to Rabbit Resort) was literally the widest, nicest and cleanest beach in the entire area.

Didn't get to meet Mr. & Mrs. Rabbit, since they were off on their own vacation. Hopefully the place they stayed was as nice as theirs. Windy the manager was wonderful. She was always at breakfast and dinner greeting guests and answering questions. She knew everybodys first name, even the 4 kids from one family. She was a gem.

Next time we are in Pattaya we will only stay at Rabbit Resort.

Having travelled throughout Thailand and sampling many resorts The Rabbit has them all beat on quality service. The resort is a forested garden; footsteps from the beach and an oasis form the hive of activity that is Pattaya.
I spent my first night in the Forrest room and the rest of the stay in the pool view villa – both locations were just lovely. The resort itself is a traditional bungalow style, with every room comfortable, clean and spacious.
The adult’s only swimming pool provided a lovely relaxing alternative to the Rabbits reserved section of the beach. Having said that, the service provided by the Rabbit staff while we were on the beach was fantastic and the resort has recliners unlike many of the places throughout Pattaya who only provide deck chairs (which takes away the option of laying belly down). The Rabbit’s beach area is also devoid of jet skis and speed boats, a big plus for those who are looking for a clean beach holiday.
Thank you Deborah and staff for providing such a personalised and caring environment - my only regret is not staying longer.

I stayed for one week (July 3-10) in a Forest Room Upstairs near the pool - 108. I can’t add much to what has been said in previous reviews.

There are different layouts/floor plans for the rooms. While the ‘side balcony’ for 108 is about twice the size of ‘front balcony’ rooms, if I return I would book room 106 or 104 because of their wide balcony access doors (in 108 the balcony is accessed by a ‘regular’ door on the side) and the fact the balconies for those rooms are fully covered, whereas 108 is only half covered – if one goes out on the balcony during a torrential downpour one is going to get wet.

The only ‘negative’ for me was the chlorinated pool(s). After swimming underwater with my eyes open (keep your eyes shut or wear goggles) this ‘negative’ was turned into a ‘positive’ by incredible service from the manager (Wendy) when she noticed I was in agony - wiping away tears & couldn’t open my eyes. She phoned to have eye wash and eye drops delivered at no charge (to me).

Even though it was ‘Green Season’ the breakfast buffet was being served. Also, according to Mrs. R, the entire resort now has Wi-Fi (not just the area around the restaurant).

Bear in mind this is a small, ‘Mom & Pop’ operation. If you are looking for a resort with character: ‘wood & greenery’, unique rooms, with excellent food and excellent service amidst the impersonal, hi-rise ‘concrete & glass’ that is Pattaya, I can recommend Rabbit Resort.

To Mr. and Mrs. R –
I hope you got some good pictures in Mongolia.

the expectations for this hotel were pretty high after reading the reviews. In general, the positive reviews are accurate. The beach area is clean from the raking and the chairs are high quality with great attention given by a staff member. The lack of jet skies and horses is a huge plus. We stayed in one of the villas as a family. appreciated the Thai decor and the kitchen facilities. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The two different pools (one for kids and one for adults) are fine....not the biggest but sufficient. The food at the restaurant on the premises was delicious both the buffet breakfast and the evening meal. The service road between the hotel and the beach makes for a nice place for an evening stroll. Our experience with the staff was pleasant. they seemed eager to help and wanted us to have a pleasant stay. We have stayed at the Amari Orchid before and enjoyed the pools there better but appreciated the quiet, relaxing, Thai experience here.
The only negatives are things that this resort cannot control. The water in the gulf here is pretty polluted. Hard to swim when you have plastic bags floating up. The environment anywhere outside the resort 1km in either direction leaves much to be desired for families. Obviously a better environment than having to be right down in the thick of Pattaya yet for families with young children or teens unless you stay on the premises 24/7 you will have to deal with parts of Pattaya that may feel undesirable or unsafe. Again, the Rabbit Resort cannot control either of these. For the time we spent on the resort premise it was worth both the money and the time.

Room Tip: Villas are great for a family of 5. Enjoyed having everyone together in one building and appreciated the decor
