a one royal cruise has the name suggest it is royal hotel very close to beach and attractions near by shopping malls and evening view is superb but not good for indian travelers where they don't keep indian food in breakfast and no choice for vegeterians but for stay it is excellent location and for non veg people it is good

Room Tip: prefer new wing

The look of Ship on the Sea Beach across the road gives you a feel of Ship just ready to sail in the sea.... Very good Swimming pool. The hotel is conveniently placed at the Beach, the boat jetty is at walkable distance to go for mid sea water sports / coral island / underwater walk etc..The hotel itself was located nice ly , but a bit far from Pattaya's attractions like the Walking Street..
It was a total Fun time with friends. Loved the breakfast & shops at the hotel too.

Must Stay if you are in Pattaya.

Room Tip: We stayed in their New wing. they have Main wing, Royal wing and New wing - need to check the rates...

We stayed in this A-One hotel ,during our Pattaya trip ,on March 2013.The booking was already arranged by our tour provider. The hotel itself quite nice , but we didnt experience check in and out , as we usually did.The tour operator had all covered for us.The hotel itself was located nice ly , but a bit far from Pattaya's attractions like the Walking Street. The hotel is located opposite the beach and beachwalk , but views from the beach are not nice , theres a lot of ships parked there. The lobby was big, with nice decorations. The room was decorated like a cruise ship , but we found it that its a bit outdated.Breakfast was nice , with a lot of choices , and cook-in-front-of-u pork ham and eggs.Get your breakfast early , because theres a lot of Q's goin on here.

At the end of our backpacking tour through southeast asia we decided to spent some nights in a nice hotel. It turned out to be terrible.
It began at our check in where we had to wait for 1 hour to hear that our reservation didn't get trough. (Booking.com). The extremely rude receptionist then put us in this weird smelling, really dark and small room. We didn't payed 70 euros for such a room. So we went back to the receptionist who now behaved like she didn't understand english, but she gave us another room in the new wing. Room was better but it was still a horrible room for the price we paid. So we decided to leave the next day.

The pool was nice though, but nothing more.

Though I was already forewarned by the negative reviews of this hotel by fellow Tripadvisors, I ignored them thinking another odd disgruntled review. However Entering and exiting Thailand, would have been a better experience without A-One
To start with, no Airport pickup despite our tour planner informing our arrival well in advance
Calling up the hotel costed 50 THB, but they simply shirked off their responsibility saying, they did not have prior information
Anyhow we reached hotel at our own minus the 1500 THB that we had to shell out for Taxi
While in hotel, to our rude surprise, we were told that Breakfast was not included, though our tour manager had got the same booked and we showed them the hotel voucher that said Breakfast included, still they did not budge, we needed to call our manager back home to set the things right, still complimentary breakfast was included the day after
Coming to the room, it was buzzing with mosquitoes and the only way to escape them was to run air conditioning at the lowest and swallow the chill pill
Most threatening was a room souvenir and fine list which detailed exorbitant fine prices of even minuscule items of the room including soaps
The toilet seat got choked with very first use and took 2 hours to get it right
Lot of construction noise in the room from nearby areas
Adjacent rooms' toilet flushing was audible in our room
No regular refilling of complimentary tea coffee stuff
List is endless, but will conclude by saying that it was the WORST 4 star hotel I stayed in
