“Too far from the main part of town to walk, could get better.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2013 via mobile

There is no high speed internet in the rooms at all, it will not connect. There is no free shuttle bus wich makes it difficult as the hotel is at least a 40 mins walk from anything remotley exciting. The room cleaner takes several hours to get to cleaning the rooms and then cleaning the room itself can take over an hour. The staff behind the main desk come across as rude as they walk away from you if there is a language barrier. The breakfast is ok, the hotel it quite nice and rooms are not bad. The worst thing is the extremley loud walky talkies used by the hotel cleaners, they have woken me up everyday at 5am and go all day long non stop outside your rooms. I don't think I would stay here again. But all in all, it wasn't the worst experience.

I booked a standard room, but when I arrived (about midnight) I got an upgrade to one of the suites.

The staff was friendly and helpful (one of the guys wanted to get me beer from the 7/11 as the minibar is empty). The staff in general was friendly to me, but most of them hardly could speak english. Only once I saw the receptionist yelling at a couple...can't blame her actually as this couple was also very rude to her and shouting and banging on the table with a stapler.

This hotel must have been very nice a few years ago, but the management really let the rooms go down. The overall impression was that it is not well maintained at all. It is not really dirty, but massive scratches on the furniture, a leaking bathtub, no shower curtain and dust on the bathroom amenities are already bad signs. At least the bed was pretty good, hard mattress. Breakfast was alright, buffet, nothing fancy but good variety.

The location is pretty far out from the action. During the day it was no problem to get a bahtbus at the main road, but in the evening impossible. In this case you can either walk (about 1 kilometer to the dolphin roundabout) or take a motorbike taxi; or the best would be to rent a motorbike. Parking is for free and very safe directly at the premises.

Upon arriving in reception, I taken to my room (2pm), which hadn't been cleaned by this stage. After complaining about this fact the reception manager proceeded to start yelling and screaming at me, then continued to tell me while laughing that what is advertised is maybe not what I would get. After the room was "cleaned", I was faced with disgrace of a room ( surface stained walls which I easily wiped off myself with gloves as it looked and smelt like Feacal matter, dirty floors and dust coated amenities) Ok need a drink now, *oops NO MINIBAR, tried to ring housekeeping to rectify this, they simply hung up on me ( 3 TIMES ) proceeding to inspect the room I found structural damage, I could continue but to summarise DISGUSTING FILTHY and PUTRID would only be putting it mildy. Pool Bar had recently been closed due to staffing issue ( but was still listed online ) and the appropriate bedding configuration of 2 beds... "Sorry Sir, Is not possible"
DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF-this place is horrid!!!

First time i enter the room i found the room was not properly cleaned. The bed uncovered and not prepared for the next guest. Bellboy calls to the reception and call again. I have waited for 10 minutes and finally they do upgrade to deluxe room. Breakfast is ok. Swimming pool is nice but the water in pool is not clear ,is not cleaned. Good location.

I along with a friend arrived at mantra pura pattaya after a wonderful 2 nights stay at amari watergate bangkok. We had booked a standard twin room for three nights when we checked in we were welcomed by a cold rude receptionist who acted as if she was doing a favor. The room was a disaster with stained walls and linen and the mosquitoe bites made it impossible to even sit in the room. We complained and asked for a paid upgrade to the next category but the rude lady receptionist just said you can leave and refunded the money i had paid and promised that my card wont be charged for no show but to my surprise my card was charged first night stay. we then moved to amari orchid that made us forget the horrible 1 hour we had at mantra pura. so i would warn you never to even think about this hotel while planning a vacation in pattaya.

My self along with Family have stayed here on weekends trips to Pattaya. Its a conviniently located place, where you will find classy Thai families staying. Yes the ambience is far away from Hip-Hop, which is attached to the name of pattaya and so is the distance from Hip-Hop places.
In general the reception staff needs little more training but the service at Coffee Shop, where morning B'fast is served is nice. May be a little training on English will improve the overall experiance.

Room Tip: Swimming pool viewing rooms are better.
