We booked this apartment through Flipkey and paid in advance. Once we got here we were hit up for 1000 baht cleaning fee on top of the 7 baht/unit electricity and water charges. The unit needs some work done on it - my husband made minor repairs! Someone had boiled milk in the kettle and it wasn't clean, the mats in the unit are disgusting and the shower runs hot when it feels like it!
We contacted the owner and he just said thank you for your help but didn't offer to cover our expenses (except to replace the battery in the clock)! We paid $US65/night - not the $43 advertised on Trip Adviser.
The unit is lovely and quiet and looks over a vacant lot with birds and is very close walk into town. Just be aware of the extra charges and the other issues with the apartment. The pool(s) are also very nice.
