We have stayed 2 nights in this guesthouse, located in the heart of Phuket Town, on the advice of the Lonely Planet, as it is a king of art gallery, but we were totally disappointed as the description in the guide does not correspond to the reality. The pros are:
- location in the Centre of Phuket Town, which is very nice and convenient, and it is very calm;
- the rooms are clean, and nicely decorated.
The cons:
- there are lots of cats in the lobby, and it smells really strong; although we love cats, it was really bad to have the strong smell of the cat pee outside the room;
- the owner is almost not in the guesthouse, so you are on your own...
- the breakfast was not provided, it was a kind of self-service breakfast, with almost nothing.
The guesthouse could have been nice if it was more well managed, but it is totally not the case. There are better options in the area, so avoid this guesthouse.

Room Tip: Simply avoid the guesthouse.

This is a nice place, with clean and comfortable rooms (although quite small) and lovely deco, but the best of it is the street where it's located, so beautiful during the day and even better at night. The town centre is quite small so I guess wherever you stay everything is close by, but Soi Romanee is enough reason to choose this guesthouse.

Just a tip: we were told by the staff that the only way to go to the airport is by taxi (they offered to call it, obviously they get a commission) but we found out there's an airport shuttle that's a lot cheaper and very comfortable, and the bus station is walking distance.

This guesthouse only has three rooms so was nice and quiet but very close to the main streets of phuket town. Great location with very friendly staff who booked trips for us and transport onwards. Breakfast was included ( hot drinks, toast, yoghurt and fruit) and was more delicious than it sounds. The air con was good as was the tv channel selections. Would definitely stay here again. There were a lot of cats around so if you do not like cats this may not be the place for you!!!

Room Tip: We had the room at the front of the building which looked over the quiet street. Am not sure what the other rooms were like but this one was certainly ok.

We just spent one night here but the staff were extremely friendly. The room was clean, the AC was great and the location was perfect to get to the pier early the next morning. The street also had beautiful colonial french architecture.

Seems that since many of the last reviews were placed the downstairs seating area at the back has been replaced by a small pond! Unfortunately this seems to breed a ton of Mosquitos. Add into this that there are 2-3 cats in the place that complain all night and the phone at reception can be heard in all the rooms, it isn't particularly relaxing to stay here.

Our room was nicely decorated, had aircon and a decent shower. However the shower leaked into reception.

For us the final piece of the puzzle was the refusal for us to pay on credit card due to some which meant we had to go and get cash. Lucky we tried to pay when we arrived as I've no idea where we would've got cash first thing in the morning with an early flight to catch.

This place could be really nice & boutique but at the moment it's probably worth avoiding.
