The hotel was changed the name, it is Nam Nguyen Hotel. The location is convenient. It near the market, lake and the "Chicken" church is behind. The room is clean, the staffs are friendly and helpful and the most important point is the reasonable price.

Amazing price for location, quality of room, service, staff and complimentary breakfast (fantastic breakfast). Hotel is impeccable, location is exceedingly convenient (only a few minute walk from restaurants and market). Could not complain about anything.

We selected this hotel because of its good location and previous review & low price. However, rooms without outside windows are very gloomy; noisy plumbing; Ill-fitting bedroom door which requires some force to lock and unlock ; no hairdryer; no kettle; no hot water to sink; staff friendly but no English spoken; we had to prove that we were entitled to breakfast ; ok when finally supplied; no lift; hotel has 3 floors; major commotion - noise (shouting/calling/cheering, etc) lasted well into the night during our first night. Computers downstairs do not work but staff let us access office computer. We will definitely try somewhere else next time but might be considered good value in view of its location.
PS. Shortage of suitable power points to charge equipment.

Room Tip: Make sure you pay the extra for a deluxe room.

The Suoi Cat Hotel was just opened when we stayed in July 2008 and felt we were the first to use the room. Although furniture in room are cheap and the entrance was semi blocked by a small shop outside, the hotel is clean and new. It is nearer to the Dalat Market and the beautiful central lake than the Novotel we stayed earlier.

Our room was a VIP which was big and cost 500,000 VND (about 30 US$) per night including breakfast. There was no carpet but they provided slippers. The bed sheet, blanket and pillows are very white, good quality and brand new. There was a standing shower but no bathtub.

Their regular rooms were a bit smaller and cost 200,000 and 300,000 VND. Our VIP Room was not a lot better but had city view. The restaurant is big compared with the hotel size, so it looks like they mainly cater to restaurant guests.

They have a website.

Dalat is very cool even in summer.

  • Liked — Brand new bed sheet, new and big room, new hotel, reasonably priced
  • Disliked — Cheap furniture in room
