Our double room was spacious and comfortable, with new fittings, clean bathroom, cable tv, minibar, kettle and a big cozy bed. For some reason, although the hotel was far from full due to low season, we were put in room 106 next to the restaurant. Breakfast was served early (6.30-8.30) and noise isolation was minimal. Thus, when the staff preparations didn't wake us in the early hours, the succeeding noise of the hotel guests coming for breakfast ensured there was never enough sleep in the mornings. Avoid rooms 104, 106 and 108 (the latter immediately adjacent to the restaurant).
Noodle breakfast might have been excellent, but I was disappointed with my non-noodle option on both mornings. Instead of an omelette I got sunny side up eggs, which, understandably, could have been due to a language barrier. However, next morning's "bread, butter and jam" included four chewy slices of cold white bread, redeemed only by a tiny amount of tasty local strawberry jam. Having had the popular crispy fresh French baguettes every morning in Vietnam before, the hotel's bread was a let-down. Expect half-clean plates, stained glasses and a cute but smelly kitten that will want to play with you while you eat.
Having spoken to other travellers in Dalat, we realised we were paying about $2-3 more a night. Not worth it, even if you consider that breakfast was included. For the same money I'd stay somewhere else next time.

Was not sure about what we pick for a hotel when we booked Thi Thao hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is under construction and when finish it will be beautiful. The rooms were clean and we got a room away form the noise with a wonderful view over the valley and lake. The breakfast for this two star hotel was fine but the best thing was the breakfast was served on the top floor with an outstanding view of all DaLat. What a beautiful way to wake up every morning. Trinh, who was one of the receptionist was so delightful, helpful and friendly making our stay very pleasant and rewarding. She also book us a bus to Saigon which turned out to be only $6.00US and a nice ride all the way to Saigon. Will return again when in DaLat

We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2011. The hotel is actually 2 hotels being converted into 1 so work is ongoing.Confusing layout as hotels have different floor levels, lifts are confusing when working.
There was no view as there was a stone wall approx 5ft in front of our window.
The room was large with clean tiled floors, 2 double beds, good comfy mattresses and lovely bed linen but there were cockroaches. We caught some in traps and we also sprayed the room before sleeping in it with bug killer we took from UK.
The bathroom could definately do with a refit, especially the bath and loo.
The "slippers" provided are in fact flip flops.
The "Complimentary" bottled water ( 2 per double room per day)..was charged for on checkout.
Breakfast consisted of 1 of the following:- egg and bread, jam and bread, cheese ( 1 laughing cow triangle) and bread etc + 1 cup of tea or coffee or squash.
On day 2 we got no breakfast as the guy that did it was called away to a family death.
Staff were not very good at all...as if they didn't want you ( or them ) to be there
All in all it was just about an OK stay, ....nowt to write home about though
