“Spacious corner room, mountain+city view”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

We went before it was renovated, and despite getting only the Standard Room, the room was very big as it was the corner room. The room has a view of the mountain, but you can't see the mountain when it gets foggy. Being on top of the hill, and near the middle of town, you get a good view of the whole town and the famous 5km long Xuan Huong Lake right in the middle of town.

Must go:
- Market and the nice cafes nearby sipping coffee in the cold Da Lat weather
- Night Market (outside the Day Market)
- Lang Biang mountain
- Golden river
- Dantala waterfall, which has a self-controlled roller coaster ride which is totally fun! (though the most majestic looking one is Pongour, it is further)
- Pick strawberries at the local farms
- Cross the Tuyen Lam Lake (the other side of the lake is a just a really small village, only thing to do there is to sit by the lake and enjoy.)
- Flower Garden (quite new, alot of themed gardens, but don't see anyone else there...)
- Elephant ride (but if you've tried the Thai one, prob don't need to try this)

Stayed here two nights while in Dalat. Nice clean room, soft bed hot shower and balcony. Good location, about 10 minute walk from market and lake. Great staff at reception who helped us book onward journey. Nice bar/ restaurant. Enjoyed our stay.

stayed here on our second night in da lat. very dated property, hotel is very dark inside. service wasn't helpful or friendly, serving us was a hassle more happy just to chat behind the counter. no safes in the room which i would expect from a 3star. not a bad location i guess. didn't/ wouldn't eat here, especially with good food everywhere else.

Stayed in this hotel twice. recent stay for 4 nights. Hotel is clean and neat as it was renovated in recent years. The superior twin room is spacious and comes with 2 kingsize beds suitable for 4 people. Mid-floor floor rooms are more quiet than 1st floor level (near breakfast area) and top floor (roof level has restaurant and karaoke). Weekend seemed to be busier and noisier as the hotel also cater to functions like wedding dinner, birthday functiond and ......

Check-in is speedy. Staff spoke little english and are quite polite. Hotel has an 2 elevators, one in front and another at the back. Buffet breakfast is provided when the hotel occupancy is high. Otherwise, it is based on set menu. The pho is delicious, others are bread, butter and jam.

It is 10 minutes'walk to the lake and to the market. A number of eateries and tourist agency can be found along Truong Cong Dinh St, notabye Peace Cafe with its friendly proprietor and nearby Long Hoa restaurant. Hotel is 5 minutes' walk to V-cafe. V-cafe has cosy ambience but food is so-so and more expensive than those in Truong Cong Dinh St.

Hotel can arrange daily tours and bus bookings. During my 2 visits, we did not have any negative encounter, except for some foul smell coming from the floor traps when we are on the 1st floor front room which they expedtiously settled the problem for me and changed me to a higher floor the following days.

Room Tip: Go for mid-floor for rooms with window facing lake. 5th floor is noisier cos there is a karaoke on t...

Our double room was spacious and comfortable, with new fittings, clean bathroom, cable tv, minibar, kettle and a big cozy bed. For some reason, although the hotel was far from full due to low season, we were put in room 106 next to the restaurant. Breakfast was served early (6.30-8.30) and noise isolation was minimal. Thus, when the staff preparations didn't wake us in the early hours, the succeeding noise of the hotel guests coming for breakfast ensured there was never enough sleep in the mornings. Avoid rooms 104, 106 and 108 (the latter immediately adjacent to the restaurant).
Noodle breakfast might have been excellent, but I was disappointed with my non-noodle option on both mornings. Instead of an omelette I got sunny side up eggs, which, understandably, could have been due to a language barrier. However, next morning's "bread, butter and jam" included four chewy slices of cold white bread, redeemed only by a tiny amount of tasty local strawberry jam. Having had the popular crispy fresh French baguettes every morning in Vietnam before, the hotel's bread was a let-down. Expect half-clean plates, stained glasses and a cute but smelly kitten that will want to play with you while you eat.
Having spoken to other travellers in Dalat, we realised we were paying about $2-3 more a night. Not worth it, even if you consider that breakfast was included. For the same money I'd stay somewhere else next time.

Was not sure about what we pick for a hotel when we booked Thi Thao hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is under construction and when finish it will be beautiful. The rooms were clean and we got a room away form the noise with a wonderful view over the valley and lake. The breakfast for this two star hotel was fine but the best thing was the breakfast was served on the top floor with an outstanding view of all DaLat. What a beautiful way to wake up every morning. Trinh, who was one of the receptionist was so delightful, helpful and friendly making our stay very pleasant and rewarding. She also book us a bus to Saigon which turned out to be only $6.00US and a nice ride all the way to Saigon. Will return again when in DaLat

We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2011. The hotel is actually 2 hotels being converted into 1 so work is ongoing.Confusing layout as hotels have different floor levels, lifts are confusing when working.
There was no view as there was a stone wall approx 5ft in front of our window.
The room was large with clean tiled floors, 2 double beds, good comfy mattresses and lovely bed linen but there were cockroaches. We caught some in traps and we also sprayed the room before sleeping in it with bug killer we took from UK.
The bathroom could definately do with a refit, especially the bath and loo.
The "slippers" provided are in fact flip flops.
The "Complimentary" bottled water ( 2 per double room per day)..was charged for on checkout.
Breakfast consisted of 1 of the following:- egg and bread, jam and bread, cheese ( 1 laughing cow triangle) and bread etc + 1 cup of tea or coffee or squash.
On day 2 we got no breakfast as the guy that did it was called away to a family death.
Staff were not very good at all...as if they didn't want you ( or them ) to be there
All in all it was just about an OK stay, ....nowt to write home about though
