Thanks to previous reviews, we caught a local bus to the falls. The one-hour journey costs 20,000 VND per person, which was a much cheaper option for us as compared to a tour. We boarded the bus beside Saigon Dalat hotel and stopped about 100m away from the entrance to the falls.

The falls was lovely, you can get up close to it by trekking down a small narrow path and it will bring you just right under the falls, where you will get wet!

Do wear good shoes, as the walk down to the falls is a slippery one.

The waterfall was nice, access to it was quite difficult, but it was awesome to see the power of the water crashing down and turning into a constant haze of water which kept everything in the vicinity wet, and slippery. Great for a few quick photos, but not much more. The ride there is probably more exciting!

We stopped here as part of a bike tour around dalat, I love the view from the top but the shower you get as you go under is brilliant... A lovely rest on a hot day

As part of a guided motorcycle tour around Dalat a stop here for a meal with the locals and a stroll over to see the waterfall. The powerful wide waterfall is easily accessible from behind a guard rail designed to stop you going over the edge, a staired pathway leads you down to the base to view the falls however this view is obstructed and rather dangerous as the river at this point is like white water. So for the best photos stay at the top. Great meal to be had across the road, just get your guide to order.

We really loved trekking down and up the steep, small steps leading to the elephant falls. The shot inside the little 'cave' where sunlight peeks through from behind us is really breath-taking. Do visit when you go Dalat! Just be sure to have firm grip on the railings and move steadily. If in doubt, pause and rest. Don't forget to hold your partner's hands tight!
