We stayed at the Dalat Plaza for 3 nights and it was O.K ($34.50 usd per night). The room was spacious, clean but had a cold, spare feeling. It may have had to do with the wood-like flooring they installed (you could tell they had carpeting at one time because the doors had lots of clearance at the bottom). Because the room was so big, sparsely funished and had hard floors, it felt kind of cold inside.

The breakfast choices were vast but nearly everything was Asian. The hotel is located just outside of the city center but there are nice views of the lake and city from the windows. It only takes about 10 minutes walk to be right in town at the main market. Most of the restaurant choices are in the city center so a short walk across the bridge is all that's needed.

The town is arranged on hills so there is lots of uphill and downhill streets and stairs leading to other streets but the hotel is on level ground and has elevators, too.

I stayed here two nights with my mother. The rooms were very clean and the staff extremely helpful given useful tips for places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The hotel is perfectly located, you can walk to the center in a few minutes. It's also next to the artificial lake, which is great for those of you that like to jog in the morning (I took advantage of that). There also is a small gym with basic equipment, water and towels on the last floor of the hotel, but the weather was nice so I preferred going outdoors.
The breakfast had a wide choice of Vietnamese and Western dishes and everything was delicious. I would stay here again if I go back to Dalat.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the back if you prefer silence (the front rooms have a view but you can hear the st...

This hotel is quite new and good value for money. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful, although some of the staff speak very little English. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a very good power shower. The free internet was a bonus.
The only downside was the food, which wasn't terrific. The breakfast was fairly mediocre, as was the food in the restaraunt.
The hotel is in a great location - a very short walk from the centre of Dalat.

I chose this hotel after checking out some hotels around the city. Our first impresion is about the hybrid architect, it is a compose of Victorian and Asian style. The hotel is new and clean. It has elevator access, the staff are friendly and ready to help you whatever you need as well as carry the bag
The room is big, clean, with a huge window through which i can see the city. for a two queen beds room, free wireless internet.... The beds is really comfortable, good mattress, high thread count cotton bed sheet and soft quilt helped me and my wife had deep sleeps.
If we have a change to visit this beautiful highland city again.

We stayed in triple room wife my wife and small daughter fm 407. While the view to the market is good the room was very noisy even with a closed window. Room smelt musty and the noise from other guests in corridor woke us early every morning as if they were in our room ! The only 'Vietnamese' feature was the shower rise that point either up or down ( never at you) and the shower water collect around the bath and runs on the floor. Typical of hotels in Vietnam. The room had good beds and linen
But '0' character. This is a dull place with a rather patheric buffet breakfast. It annoys me when they provide low quality fruit/food when there is an abundance of beautiful fruit available in Dalat. Sour pineapple, meatless luanguan etc Why skimp on a cheap and readily available commodity ? The staff pounce on your for your breakfast coupon then leave you table loaded with dirty plates! While I appreciate staff are paid meager wages, the management need to sort out the potentially awesome breakfast.

This us great location basic hotel and that's all

I got a huge room with a great view of the lake for only $28 on Agoda. The room was nicely appointed, the staff is friendly and helpful, and speaks English very well. The hotel is scrupulously clean and very secure. Breakfast was so-so, but that's not a big deal -- they usually are in "breakfast included" hotels. Actually, it was a little better than usual. The location couldn't be better, walking distance to the lake, the markets, the Crazy House and Royal Palace.

The real kicker for me was that the staff noticed that I was traveling alone on my birthday. Not only did they sing "happy birthday" when I went up to the front desk, but they also put roses and a card in my room. That is the kind of thoughtfulness that raises a hotel to the very top level. I enthusiastically recommend this hotel, and will stay there again myself next time I'm in Dalat.
