Great & has character

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 16 Nov 2018via mobile
We stayed for about 4 nights and had a very pleasant time. The staff were all wonderful especially Truong who works on reception.
The hotel has a lot of character in the architecture and there are lots of beautiful outlooks. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The bed was not the most comfortable but was not bad. It’s in a good location with plenty of restaurants, street food around and an easy walk in to town. Overall we had a great stay.

The view from my room is awful when there is a big wall outside the window.

No air conditioner in the room because it is always cool/cold enough in Da Lat. Hot water is always avalaible to make you warm. I love the toilet as everything has big impact from vintage French amenities and facilities.

One bad thing is the way to my room is too dark. I even have to turn on my phone light when I get back to the hotel at night.

The location is not easy to find. It is quite a challenge for you all when you first come here.

My friend and i stayed here for 2 nites. This is such a huge hotel (approx. over 80 rooms) Most facilities : room, rest, entrance to the rooms ..are tidy and spacious, the staffs are very nice and vey helpful special is a small guy from receptionist. Although i didn't know what his name but anyway thank you so much. The FOOD in the morning from Buffet service was excellent but the fruits was not FRESH (water melon). Shower in the bathroom was hard to control cold-hot water and the water come out was very noisy. Thanks to all staff for a nice relaxing stay.

Upon first glance this room was just OK, which was surprising for the cost. However, we went along with it and attempted to make the best. There was a huge coffee spill leftover in the minifridge not cleaned. Whatever, we could brush that off. The bath tub drained onto the floor- another thing we could brush off. The TV made a very very loud static like noise, brushed that off too. What really put me off from this place was how freezing the room was. There's no actual windows, just screens blocking the noise and cold from the outside, and there was noise all night. At around 2am having still not slept, I attempted to contact the front desk about the noise to ask for earplugs or a different room. They were friendly but unable to help. Finally shoved cotton balls in my ears and slept terribly for a few hours.
Maybe the other rooms were a bit more quiet? Our room was right next to the road so we dealt with the noise all night. Would not recommend.

We arrived there before the check in time and walking around the hotel till a reception man asked if we stay here and waiting for checking in. Then he suggested us to leave our luggage and stuff here so that we can go travel around easily. As so everyone knows that we can leave our stuff in every hotels and go around, but this shows how well the staff take care of their customers. The hotel architecture is European style which is different from the others hotel at Dalat. It's not far from the night market just like 10 mins walk. in the evening, there is hot soya milk available at the breakfast room which has a big fireplace and that made us feel warm from the cold weather outside. About the room, its cozy. I like the four-poster bed decorated with a curtain. I also like the baht room. The bathtub is also unique. When i was there, I felt like I was in a wine cellar. There is a big window in the baht room and when you sit in the bathtub in the warm water and look outside, you can see the city view. It is a perfect and romantic time for me. So chiili. We didn't try their breakfast as we were in hurry leave this town to another town. But overall, this hotel is recommended! I love this place.

So cute! I read the bad reviews and I really think some people are just too picky. We have traveled enough in Asia to know that sometimes things malfunction and not every place is perfect. We really had no problems with this hotel. It was quaint, located on the top of the hill, which was nice, good exercise. The breakfast buffet was unique and delicious. The whole set up of the hotel is really cool. The room was cosy and fun. I suppose everyone had different standards, so some people may be more picky than there. Our stay was great overall and we highly recommend this hotel.
