“Great value in Dalat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2012

After 5 hours in a bumpy van from Mui Ne to Dalat, we were so pleasantly surprised to arrive at this hotel. It was elegant and professional with the charm of French architecture and style. we upgraded from the standard room for an extra $15 USD and were absolutely satisfied. Great amenities that all work, great shower with real water pressure and terrific helpful English speaking staff. Definitely would stay here again!

Room Tip: If you upgrade to Superior, get a corner room at the back of the hotel. (Bigger, with two windows a...

This hotels lobby was amazing. It's like a hotel from 80 years ago. The staff were very helpful they arranged a tour guide and driver to show us around the beautiful country side and the room was beautifully furnished. The only downside was that breakfast was across the road. Otherwise my stay was very pleasant.

We spent 2 nights at Hotel du Parc. It's a lovely old French styled place which has been carefully renovated. The rooms are big with high ceilings which gives a sense of space. We had a room overlooking the street, so we could watch the action of the town below. It was also opposite Dalat's answer to the Eiffel Tower! It's a 5-10 minute walk into town and about 20 mins from the Crazy House (really worth a visit). We were pleased with our stay at Hotel du Parc and would stay again.

Hotel past it's prime and very worn at the seams. Rooms tiny, no room at all to move around. Hotel across street from its resturant which is very French and nostalgic. Elevator like the old apartment houses in France, metal and caged. Carpeting and floors not kept up, stained and worn. If you stay there upgrade to a suite. Or stay across the street at the very nice Palace Hotel, reasonable rates on Expedia.

We could only book the standard room at this hotel but the view from our room to the valley was absolutely amazing. Though small but the room was kept clean. We had a little problem with the water drainage from the bathtub/shower probably due to poor installation, other than that we were happy with our stay. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We loved the hotel restaurant, though expensive, it had most things that we needed. Can't say enough of how great a value this hotel is.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in January, 2012. I advise booking through the internet as you will get a much better rate and also to upgrade to a superior room for not much more. The standard rooms are very small. Rooms on the street side can be noisy due to the Vietnamese habit of honking while driving. The hotel is slightly out of the main part of town but is a short walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful to us. The lobby is spacious and the elevator is also an antique but still works well. The breakfast across the road at Cafe de la Poste is expensive but the setting is lovely so if you want to splurge - go ahead. Make sure you have a drink at Larry's Bar, which is in the old cellar of the Dalat Palace Hotel just around the corner from the Cafe. The Palace is a luxury hotel and is worth a walk through. Larry's Bar is a cozy time warp that offers two for one drinks from 5 - 7 and a quiet spot away from the main street.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a superior room on the back side, away from the street.

The du parc is centrally located and a quick 3 min drive to the central lake. Service was excellent and the room spacious and comfortable there is no air conditioning but you won,t find that in most hotels in da lat nor will you really need it as the temp is much lower than siagon. Spa service ran about $45 for 90 min massage the rooms are Retro 30's to 40's but has LCD TVs and soft beds. The bath is modern but with an older hair drier unit. You can get some vehical noise until about 10 pm but it quites down quickly after that. My wife and I used a sound machine that turned off by 1030 and didn't notice the traffic nor did it keep us awake.
