“Fun place to visit but uncomfortable to stay in”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2013

As the other reviewers have described, this is a fantasy building that is well worth a visit. It would be great for kids aged 5-10. We stayed overnight but it wasn't comfortable. We ended up stuffing the curtains in the windows to keep the Mosquitos out and in the morning, when the tourists started arriving we were awoken by people constantly walking past the room and rattling the door, not realising it was occupied.

I agree that it is an interesting concept in archictural design, however not practical. You walk past each room and can observe whatever and whomever is there. It seemed surreal to me!
Where are the rest rooms and shower? ....probably a long fall from steep stairs in the night to find it....

Room Tip: I would have a look- see and move on!

For 35,000 vnd you can look around the crazy house. It was really fun looking around, walking along little paths and up and down staircases and admiring the view. This is a very alternate place, but really fun to see. The rooms looked nice and were all themed differently. I don't think I would like to pay the money to stay the night though as there would be a lot of tourists walking past your room.

We had a great time here wandering up and down the various stairwells, passageways and rooms. It is very much like a Gaudi building from Barcelona and a lot of fun. They are still constructing large parts of it and there are so many greats views and things to photograph. Definately worth the entry fee of 35,000 vnd each.

Totally totally crazy, free, weird, wild, wonderful architecture. I am extremely jealous that this woman has designed this guest house and home totally of her OWN free will (EVERY architects' dream!). Completely eccentric, and in places terribly dangerous design (watch your kids like a hawk and watch your own head). Overall an amazing experience. I LOVED it - my husband hated it (he's a troglodyte). From my perspective it's quite simply architecture nirvana on a sublimely-hideous scale. The HIGHLIGHT of my trip to positively boring Dalat, actually I'd go so far as to say the highlight of Vietnam for me - fancy finding that HERE!!! Agree it should also be in the Attractions TA section.

This should really be in the attractions section as it doesn't look like much of a hotel! I stopped here on my way back from Truc Lam and it was definitely worth a stop. I spent about 20 minutes walking around and the other reviews are right - its a blend of Gaudi and Disneyland!

The crazy house is located in the city centre and easy to walk to. It's a small place and costs $2 per person to enter. I went with my wife and we spent about 30 minutes taking a good look at the place (you could do it in far less).

It's an interesting place with the rooms and passageways designed to resemble trees and local environment. To be fair it is one of the better things to see in Da Lat. We got some good photos and a few laughs out of it. Be careful not to bump your head!

We went as an attraction, not a hotel stay.
