We were booked in by our easy rider so we didn't know the the price, but for this hotel everything is too expensive. I had to get out of bed at 4 am to ask if they could be quiet, the man at the reception though apologized next morning for the noise. The bed was broken, the room smelly and dirty and on the day there is a half family living in the lobby.

Our bus driver stopped at this hotel. At first we didn't want to go here because we knew that it was a set deal to stop here. But we looked at the room and got a double bed room for 8$ which we though as being "why not?".
When settling in the room the first cockroach run across my bag.
I couldn't find any wifi even though it was advertised.
The guy at the reception was very pushy when it came to booking one of the easy rider tours. He just couldnt understand that we don't want to book a tour for 60$/day. Later he even knocked at our door and begged us to promise that if we take a tour we would take it with him. The next morning some other guy hassled us to take a tour again. He sat next to is at breakfast and just didn't want to stop talking.
As for the cockroaches which seemed to live under our bed I couldn't sleep very well. On top of this it was my birthday that day. Breakfast was okay but even though they claimed it to be included we had to pat for it later. I cannot recommend staying here.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Our guide told us that this place was fine so after checking out the room which seemed ok we checked in.

We should have been put off by the pair of knickers (presumably the last guests) hanging on the back of the bathroom door but to be honest it didn't seem like a big deal at the time.

I tend to be quite trusting of the safety of hotel rooms and left my old netbook and my point and click camera out on my bed when we went out the next day. My friend who is more wordly, hid her new Samsung Galaxy III and ipod together in a double zipped pocket in her rucksack. We had late checkout and were leaving that day so there was no reason for housekeeping to enter the room. We locked AND CHECKED the door before leaving for the day.

When we got back our hotel room was unlocked. My netbook and camera hadn't been touched but my friend's Samsung had disappeared. We alerted hotel staff who were completely uninterested - they said things were stolen from the rooms regularly but that it wasn't a problem!!! (I think that this was a misunderstanding/mistranslation though)

There are other places to stay in Dalat, why risk this one? It's nothing special, a bit noisy and not in the best location. If nothing had been stolen we would have instantly forgotten the place as it has nothing particular to mark it out as special.

Happy travels :)

Not only are they pushy to get you in and will tell you anything you want to hear. The rooms smell moldy, the water pressure of the shower was ok but the one of the sink was almost no flow at all. The mattress and blanket feel damp and are not very good quality. The entire building has damp spots. I asked for help to communicate with my last hotel which they did, however it got nowhere and my requests got ignored. So don't expect too much! I wouldn't go there and not recommend to anybody. There are so many more and better places for the same and less money. Don't listen to them if they tell you that the entire city is booked out.
