The location off the hotel is perfect - close to the center, lake and restaurants. The owner is very friendly - offered us a better room for small amount of dollars. The rooms are perfect clean -" i think that nobody had a shower before us in our room" that what said my girlfriend after a shower. Defently come back again if visit dalat.

Dalat is a lovely city and one you must visit if you have time during your travel in Vietnam. The climate is a welcome respite from the sweaty coast. The Paris Hotel is centrally located in Dalat and is only about 5-10 minutes walk to the lake, markets and main shopping areas. It is a new-ish guesthouse run by a very lovely Vietnamese couple who don't speak a lot of English but very keen to learn. They also use Google translator on their laptop which helps overcome any language difficulties. They are always very friendly and keen to help, and have a couple of cute hamsters in a glass cage in the reception area. They also booked my bus ticket to Ho Chi Minh City and got me an awesome seat up the front of the bus.

The rooms are very well priced and range from about $17 - $25 dollars depending on the room size and features. I originally booked a large deluxe room with a balcony, but it was overlooking a busy street and I'm a light sleeper. There was also construction work opposite the hotel which was a bit noisy. So I switched to a smaller internal room (room 304) which was fine and nice and quiet. The owners were very helpful in letting me switch rooms.

The guesthouse is very clean and well furnished and has free wifi which works well. The bathrooms are well set up and have great showers. The local neighbourhood felt very safe at night and there were no issues walking around.

Pros: very clean, very friendly owners and well situated.
Cons: can be noisy with the traffic and construction work nearby - if you are a light sleeper. Most hotel I encountered in Vietnam were all concrete and tiles which didn't dampen the sound at all.

Value for money score 8/10. Bonus point given for the very friendly service. Overall great value for the price and a good opportunity to experience genuine friendly Vietnamese hospitality.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask for one of the internal rooms. They re darker at night and quiet. The...

Good, very clean hotel. 5 min walk to the market and city centre. The rooms are smaller but clean. A little balcony provided a great view of the city and fresh air on a fairly quiet road. Breakfast is not included but if you need food they have cup of noodles and a kettle in the room the noodles are about 50 cents a cup. Restaurants are not far. Beds were firm but 8 out of 10 are in Vietnam! The couple who run this place are probably the nicest couple on earth! Little English but they try and help you with Vietnamese! Did a good cheap city tour with some inclusions, exclusions were lunch and rides but these were cheap. I would stay here again the hosts were amazing and the lady loved it when i gave her a cuddle! Their pet hamsters?? are extremely cute and helped the language barrier as laughing over very cute animal antics is a universal language :). These people deserve the business.!

This hotel is just right off of the town, city center, the lake and etc. The hotel is owned by a lovely couple. It was recently renovated and everything is new with tile/marble floor. It's nice and clean, the room was spacious with a little balcony facing town. I didn't get breakfast at this hotel but there's so many street food in Vietnam so I didn't bother. They know good restaurants to try and will show you on their map. I rented the motorbike which I recommend everywhere you go in Vietnam beside Saigon and Hanoi, it's a bit crazy driving in those cities for most people who aren't used to it. Da Lat have wide open new road and there's a lot less people on the road. Rented the motorbike for 100k dong which is $5 a day! Gas are cheap too. I like being able to go on my own schedule and go to places whenever I want. I also like going back to the hotel and rest after a day trip and then go out later at night so a motorbike is a must since Da Lat, everywhere is pretty far if you want to travel to historical places.

Anyhow, back to the hotel. Great service by the couple, and they were very friendly. I loved the room with a nice small balcony. It was a clean room, restroom was new and updated. A few minutes walk to the bride/lake and into town/night market. It was very quiet and peaceful at night and in the morning. I recommend this place if you want a new hotel, quiet, but very close into town/city center.

Stayed two nights in March, 2013: lovely family run hotel. No English but the hotel staff always had Google translator at their fingertips. Room with minifridge, small balcony, air con, private bath ran $23/night, without breakfast. Coffee and tea provided in room. Very comfortable bed and the room was spotless. Small store next door provided us with wine, beer, yogurt and snacks. Excellent seafood restaurant a block away towards market: Central market only about 3 blocks away. No elevator, but nice wide stairs.
We would stay here again!

Room Tip: Balcony rooms at front of hotel provide a nice view.
