“Dirty, miserable hell”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2013 via mobile

We booked through The Sinh Tourist and stayed 2 nights. They only had a family room available on the second night so made us pay an extra $20. The hot water is hit and miss, mostly miss, was forced to have a cold shower (its cold in Da Lat at night). The bathrooms are disgusting, visible yellow stains and dirt. The crevices are extremely dirty and the furniture dusty. There are yellow stains on our sheets which look like cigarette burns. The towels are hard and the bins were not empty. If you are unfortunate enough to have a front street view, the single glazing will ensure that you hear everything that happens on the busy main road all night long. The staff were okay, 1 was helpful but others were not. There was a lizard ripening around the room too. There is no lift so if you are on the third floor is quite a walk up and down. By 7.30 the 6.45 breakfast is no more. You would be lucky to get a piece of fruit and a toast perhaps with cold bowl of noodles. There was a fly on the fruit that we did get to see. Do yourself a favour, don't stay here. This place is miserable. The only good thing about it is location, they have a TV and toiletries in the bathroom. 10/10 would never stay here again unless utterly desperate with zero other options.

This hotel is great value and pretty central to the main areas of Dalat. The rooms are clean and comfortable and for $25 a night you can have city views and a large balcony. It is owned by Sinh Tourist which has a booking office on the premises which makes arranging tours and bus tickets very easy.

Room Tip: City view rooms have a good balcony but are a little noisier.

Trung Cang Hotel is definitely our option when we go again to Dalat. Location is strategic, walking distance to Dalat Market & Lake, about 5 minutes to the lake, and 10-15 minutes leisure walk to the market.

Because we use Sinh Tourist bus, this hotel is own by Sinh Tourist and Sinh Tourist office is just next to the hotel, very confinient for us. Room is just standart, no too clean, but breakfast is awesome! With very cheap price for the room, we get buffet breakfast. Eventhough the buffet breakfast option is not much, but still worth for the money..

If you're looking for a cheap & strategic hotel in Dalat, I guess you cannot miss this hotel, Dalat Trung Cang..

We booked the hotel at the singh cafe office in Hoi An, they promised us a back room with mountain view. It was tempting as the hotel is in the same building where the Singh Cafe bus stops.
When we arrived, they tried to push us into a ground floor room that looks like the rooms used for people who have checked out and want to take a shower... horrible place. When we protested, they put us on first floor, no mountain and noise most of the night, really bad experience. The manager was an exception for Vietnam as she was very indifferent verging on hostile, not helpful in any way. the internet did not function but she did not respond to our requests. We left the place after one night, not before they charged us 4.5 US$ for less than 1 Kg of laundry, about 3 times the regular price. They had no map of the city, but were ready to sell us one for 2,000 Dong...

Room Tip: do not accept the ground floor, and not room 101, if you are foolish enough to set your foot in this...

The lady at the front desk, which I suspect is the manager, is unfriendly and unhelpful. The rest of the hotel staff were much nicer, but didn't know much (at least not in English). The hotel itself is in a decent location and it is clean. I payed $20.00 a night for one person, and I found that to be reasonable.

Very clean establishment with a no frills approach to service. I have enjoyed staying here. A good location with easy access to the city and conveniently located next to sinh tourist, ideal for booking excursion tours. Would be nice if closer to main strip and if room wasn't on the road side.
