We first went to another hotel but when the people of the hotel started to work and make noise at 6am we decided to search for another hotel. On TripAdvisor we found Dreams Hotel but when arriving there it was already full. They redirected us to her brother who had another hotel in the same street: Thuan An. The hotel looks beautiful and the manager is very friendly. Wifi is available in the whole hotel (which can not be said of other hotels!). The manager also helps with planning our trip with a Easy Rider and provides us a map of Da Lat.
After visiting other cheap hotels, this hotel certainly deserves a recommendation. It's worth the price and has a very good bed and service.

very nice and friendly staff. Very helpful as well. They cook diner for us, booked bus ticket. Family own business, close from the lake and city centre. Very clean, convenient, a bit noisy if you get a room on the side of the street, but overall a great stay. balcony, fridge, tv.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We are a family of 4 (8 and 15 yrs old kids) and we are traveling for one year. For the last 9 months, we could easily say this hotel is on our top 2 list of our entire trip. Top quality rooms, excellent service, no solicitation for tours (wich is not usual in Asia), unlimited breafast... max 10-15 minutes walk from downtown (which is not a problem since it is a bit cool in Dalat compare to HCMC) . We highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed a night here and the hotel is quite a distance from the centre of Dalat (about 35 minutes walk to the market place). Found the room to be noisy as the staircase to the upper floors was positioned right next to the room and the sound echoed. Couldn't open the windows with no mosquito net and no Air con only a fan meant a sleepless night. The only saving grace was the good breakfast although with the owner hovering all the time felt a bit uncomfortable.

I stayed in Thien An Hotel for three nights. It is definitely the cleanest and nicest hotel I have stayed at in Vietnam for the price. The breakfast is great, the hotel managers speak great English and they helped me with a lot: canceling my Vietnam Airlines ticket, booking a bus ticket, etc. I loved it!

I stayed in Thien An for 4 days. I didnt expect that much of comfort since when I contacted the hotel, the host said that his hotel is far from the center of the city and he seemed to lowered his hotel. But I ended up choosing the hotel because my boyfriend thought it would be good.
I contacted the host many times before I came and he was very helpful with everything.
From the outside it was not that impressive but the room is warm, clean and comfortable.
The next morning i was surprised by the breakfast. Fruits, breads, peanuts butter, bacon. strawberry jelly ... in addition the host asked us if we wanted any tea or coffee, also offered boiled egg or omelet.
even the very last minutes at Thien An I was impressed. We booked a taxi to the air port since it costs 500k to go with Mai Linh taxi while it costs only 200 with taxi booked by the hotel. but the last minutes the taxi informed that they no longer had car to pick us up. The host called another car for us and pay extra 80k for that taxi because he did promised us a 200k VND taxi!
If by any chance I would be visiting Da Lat in the future, for sure I will stay in Thien An!

We booked into the Thien An Hotel based on reviews on Trip Advisor after not being able to get into Dreams which was closer to town. We had some concerns about the distance from town based on the reviews, however the hotel was only about a 5 minute walk and was nice to be out of the main centre as it was a bit quieter. We tried to phone to book a day ahead, however couldn't get through so we sent an email and got a very quick response.

The owner was super friendly and organised the Easy Riders for us which was a great way to see the sights. When we asked about getting to the tour office for our bus out of town, he phoned the company and arranged for them to pick us up. He also started breakfast 30 minutes earlier so that we could eat before we left. The breakfast was definitely the best we encountered in Vietnam! You can't beat vegemite on a fresh crunchy roll when you've been on the road for a few weeks!!! The rooms were basic, however neat and clean and the water hot. The free internet was really speedy compared to other places we stayed. And all this for only $20 a night, it was by far the best value hotel we have stayed at in Vietnam. We would without a doubt stay there again if we return to Dalat.
