Very beautiful hotel. Everything is tastefully done and all rooms with Balcony you can actually go out and enjoy the view. Nice pool and surroundings. Exceptional Breakfast and Dinner buffets. Wifi are the only bad thing about this hotel. Lovely view of the Bay for now as they are massively building up the water front with some sort of an amusement park which for sure will ruin the serenity of this place.

Very upscale hotel designed and maintained beautifully. Restaurant was elegant and enjoyable for a splurge dinner. Breakfast buffet among the best ever. Stayed after finishing ha long cruise. Hotel can not be faulted for the massive construction project taking place between it and the sea, but the views suffer. Typical luxury hotel with commensurate pricing, but I was put off after ordering a half liter of water poolside that cost 10 times what you would have paid at any store. Understand a reasonable mark up, but this seemed like silly price gouging which to me was a put off.

We stayed as part of a small tour group prior to a boat trip on Halong Bay and the hotel is clean and convenient. It only took about 10 minutes to walk to the beach opposite the hotel and swim in the warm sea. There is a lot of building work in the area but there was a letter from the manager in the room apologising for this and it didn't affect our stay. The swimming pool was fine, though it was disappointing that the poolside bar was closed as others have said. The room was modern with a well-designed bathroom, but the wifi signal was variable within the hotel and at different times. The breakfast buffet was OK although there was no muesli when we were there. As so many tour groups use the hotel, the breakfast area was very busy, and the staff were not good at clearing the tables promptly.
However, it was easy to walk to the rest of Halong to find a meal in the evening, and to ride the cable car and big wheel. The resort will become very built up in the future, so go now while there are still sea views!
