The first thing that greeted us here was a smile of front desk girl Hien. He friendliness convinced us to stay in this hotel. Some rooms are shabby, but those with balconies (front side), especially 3rd and 2nd floor, are really good deal. Rooms have cozy bamboo furniture, little restaurant downstairs serves good food. All hotel is full of good mood and energy as only young people work here.
Hien, the manager, is always full of good advice and ready to help others.
Rooms have good wifi. Hotel is in very good location - 5 mins to Hoan Kiem Lake, many good restaurants, cafes and shops around. So it is a very good deal for reasonable price.

Room Tip: Hotel has no elevator, so think twice before moving in to room in 4th floor with heavy bags.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one night whilst in Hanoi. The staff were very accomadating and friendly however when we went to have a shower in our room, scalding steam (no water) came out of the shower head which we thought was extremely dangerous! Also, the bed sheets and duvet were damp including the painted over ceiling. I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel was a great find for us. In fact we booked in advance some other hotel for a couple of nights, but it was horrible and on the first night we wanted to find another one. And so we found Bamboo hotel on the very same street. We checked the price and the room and it was just what we needed (even cheaper from the other one!). We are staying here for 6 nights and we just love it here. The atmosphere is great, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We wanted to change the room and the receptionist helped us to arrange it as soon as she could. All the girls working at the reception speak good English. There is a restaurant downstairs and you can chill on the sofas during the day with coffee or a meal. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day.
Then on top of that you have a cable tv (lots of Eng channels with movies), good hot shower and you're in the heart of old quarter! You cannot go wrong with this hotel!

I have stayed 3 nights in Bamboo hotel that is a really good location, right in the middle of the old quarter and walk about 5 mins to the Hoan Kiem Lake. There has alot of restaurants, shops and bars around it. The rooms are fairly spacious with nice bamboo furniture. The manager is a small friendly girl who speaks considerably english, incredibly smiley and helpful. It's funny to look the traffic was always busy with a small street in the front of hotel.

Room Tip: balcony room.

Very good rooms with tasty food in the restaurant. A perfect place to stay in Hanoi in the heart of the old quarter. The best is the staff! So nice and friendly they are :)) Will definitely stay here the next time I visit Hanoi.

You get what you pay for:

Great room, with good light, clean bed, open space. Balcony, quiet room. Strong Wifi throughout hotel. It's worth it.

Great location in the old quarter.

Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Restaurant below is good and good place to hang out and watch Vietnamese life

I'll be back here next time I'm in Hanoi...

Staff was very friendly and the amenities decent. Although the layout of the hotel is like other Vietnamese properties in the cities which is narrow storefront, the decor gave the place a very comfortable and open feel. I would definitely stay here next time I'm in Hanoi.
