Stayed here with my family for fourteen nights from the 2nd of April. I had read lots of good reviews and was not disappointed. Son and Thuy are a fine asset to the hotel, but I must say all the staff were great always ready to help however they could. We were given helpful information on places to eat, where to shop and even what the reasonable price would be for an item. We booked the Halong bay tour on the Hanoi Opera and loved it. the Opera was clean and far better quality than many of the other tour boats. We also booked a tour to Ho Chi Minh with them to visit the tunnels there. I do not normally eat breakfast but did have it while at the hotel, the breakfast is basic but filling and a good start to the day I loved the bacon. The final night before we left we were invited to dinner with the staff, I was taken by Thuy to the market where she bought lots of fresh ingredients which we took back to the hotel and she showed me how they were prepared and cooked even my teenage son rolled a few rice paper pork spring rolls. Our stay here was loved by us all and my husband is quite keen to visit again as is myself. My one regret is that I followed my husband and was stranded in Seoul instead of Hanoi during the London airport closures. If I had been at the Serenity I would not even have checked to see if the airports had reopened. The only reason I gave rooms less than excellent is because of the climb up to the top floors.
