“Very Happy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2013

Caring, friendly and helpful Staff.
Clean rooms, great breakfast.
Ask for help in planning great itineraries to Sapa, Halong Bay, the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to direct you to an appropriate trip for you.
Very attentive, they go out of their way to make sure you get to your destination and back. We were met at the overnight train by staff at 5 in the morning and guided back to the Hotel, they won't abandon you!

We stayed here for 3 nights and throughout our stay here, the staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful to accommodate us for our needs.
Our room, a triple deluxe room, was clean, spacious and we also had our own private balcony that faced the main street, Hang Ga St - although its a busy street/area, we didn't have any problems with noise.
The hotel breakfast was quite good. It provided the basics - toast, jams, coffee/tea, fruits, salads - but also allowed guests to select from their made to order breakfast menu, which consists of English breakfast to even a bowl of Pho.
The only negative comment which I would add here is the spa specials that the hotel promotes. Our group of 4 had booked a 75min massage with La Sante Spa, who are located at their big sister chain, Rising Dragon Palace, and the service was nothing to rave about - so please don't bother, you will only leave disappointed.

We stayed 4 nights here in April 2013 and were very comfortable. We booked one of their $40 rooms and were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to the $50 family room at no extra cost!

Nice and spacious, nice wooden finishings, PC computer in the room, big bath room with spa bath (& shower curtain!!).

Breakfast was a buffet fruit, toast, criossants, tea coffee juice plus one hot cooked option - we ate too much every morning!

Would stay here again.

Brilliant staff. So friendly and welcoming. They will do anything for you to make sure your stay in there country is memorable. I cannot emphasise to anyone visiting Hanoi to please consider this hotel. Its in a great location in the old quarter and not expensive. I stayed for 14 days off and on via Sapa and Halong Bay. They knew my name every morning at breakfast and when I entered or returned from trips they always asked how it was and whether I had had a great day. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels for many years and not had such great service and kindness. AAAA plus

Best hotel in Vietnam”
7 Apr 2013 JonUnal
We stayed here for 4 nights during our visit in Hanoi. It's centrally located, and we had a room for $25, which was great for this place. The staff is very friendly although we arrived at 4am in the morning. We were given a room to take a shower until our room was ready. Bella from the reception was very helpful with information and tour bookings. She gave us a great deal for our Bai To Long bay tour. Breakfast is excellent. We spent 1 month traveling in Vietnam and this hotel was the best we tried so far. Definitely recommended if you are in Hanoi! Thank you Bella and all the staff from Rising Dragon!

Staff are friendly and helpful, location excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, excellent value for money. What more can you ask for?

On our arrive we were given free drinks and a really good talk on what to do in Hanoi. Even though the hotel is in the centre of town, its really quiet in the hotel, so easy to sleep, and all rooms are air-conditioned, most with a bath and shower.

Breakfast was really nice, most rooms have a computer in, as well as free wi-fi, and all rooms have a TV.

We stayed here twice during our visit to Vietnam, and the hotel were really accommodating. They also sorted out an excellent tour to Ha Long bay for us.

Hi all
location quiet good and "cheap", different types of rooms, (I reco. rooms 304/404/504/n04 -> all quiet and big enough for two), Rooms ending with ..01 are 3 bed rooms & bigger, but facing the road, other rooms are cheaper und smaller!!)
super breakfast, esp. fruits and noodle soup ;-)
friendly service, booked everything there. perhaps some dong more expensive but very convinient, pickup from airport worked ;-)
overall: everything was GOOD !!
There are several Rising Dragon Hotels - so dont be confused. Important is the "address" (street name & number) to make it unique
enjoy Vietnam ......
