Good advisor for the interesting places and good arrangement for the tour. Situated in very good location where we can reached most of the tourism places with walking distance. Every staff in the hotel was provided us the good services and very friendly.

The Rising Dragon Grand at 24 Hang Ga in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, you can book a very nice room at this hotel for a bargain price. $35 will assure a room that could get a much higher price. And added to that, a very good included breakfast in the morning, and a staff that is so accommodating, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place, especially the front rooms on the street with "city view." Very nice.

Room Tip: Ask for a "01" room, 501, 601, 701, 801, 901. Very nice rooms in the front facing the str...

My husband and I recently stayed on two separate nights at the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel in Hanoi. We picked the hotel primarily because of the reviews we had seen on trip advisor and for the most part we were not disappointed. I booked our stays direct with the Hotel and Anna (who I dealt with via email) was terrific. We stayed for one night before being picked up for a Ha Long Bay cruise (which we had booked through the Hotel) and although we arrived quite late the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our first room was quite small, and more dated than the pictures led us to believe (sufficient for a one or two night stay) and overlooked the city. Whilst it was nice to look out over the city it was also quite noisy. We checked back into the Hotel 2 nights later (Hotel were able to store our bags for us in between stays) and requested a room at the back of the Hotel for our return stay. We ended up with a huge room for the same price which ended up being a lot quieter. The hotel has free wi-fi along with a desktop computer in each room. As I was having problems connecting to the internet via my phone the computers were very handy, however they were quite slow. The 24hr front desk staff were excellent and the location was very central - short walk into the heart of town and the lake/water puppets etc from the Hotel. The hotel were also able to exchange money and organise tour bookings - we booking a Poloma Ha Long Bay cruise through the Hotel and were not disappointed. The breakfasts each day (included in the room rate) were one of the best from any of the Hotels we stayed in. The only thing to mention was that both times our rooms were on the top floor (9th) and the lift only goes up to the 8th floor so it meant a very short walk up a flight of stairs which didn't both us but may be a problem for others with injuries, etc. The hotel were also able to store our bags for us when our flights got changed and we had a long stopover in Hanoi and wanted to come into the city even though we weren't staying the night. We would definitely consider staying in this hotel again and would recommend it to other travelers.

Room Tip: If you are staying for a few nights it would be worth requesting a quieter room at the back of the h...

This is a lovely, clean, well run and great value hotel in a great location in the old quarter.
Staff were very helpful, the room was spacious, breakfast was great.
The hotel was able to keep our luggage safely while we went out to Halong Bay.
Judy was very helpful with her email correspondence, booking tours and promptly replying to our questions. Thanks Judy!

I chose this hotel mainly for price as I needed a room to store luggage for 8 people for 4 nights while we went to Sapa and then Halong Bay and then 2 nights staying in Hanoi. We arrived at the hotel at 10.00am and although check in wasn't until noon, they had our room ready within 45 minutes and offered us breakfast in the meantime After a day of sightseeing we needed to freshen up and the hotel provided 6 extra towels at no cost. There is also a bathroom downstairs so some members of the party utilised this. The staff orgnised transport to the train station and also fro the station to our hotel in Sapa. The room we had was quite small so we decided to upgrade to a larger room for the last 2 nights. This was organised easily and with no fuss. When we returned from Sapa we had about an hour and a half to get ready before out bus transfer to Halong Bay and we all needed showers. We were given the use of another room to get ready, at no cost. When we returned to Hanoi our upgraded room had air conditioning issues so we were further upgraded to a family room at no extra cost for the last 2 nights. (Which was very spacious and comfortable). Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. They went out of their way to be helpful in all things and we were always greeted with happy smiling faces. They happily orgnised all our taxis and our transport to the airport at the end of our stay. They all came outside to wave goodbye as we left! They were the friendliest, happiest people we encountered during our two and a half weeks in Vietnam. If I return to Hanoi I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, comfortable and well positioned hotel to stay in.

Room Tip: THe cheapest rooms are the smallest but at $24 a night, you can't complain but if you want more...

Top rate for its sort if hotel. Big room, wonderful, attentive and caring staff. Everything we needed. Handy locality in the bustle of the Old Quarter but only minutes' walk from Hoan Kiem. If you are looking for five star, look elsewhere, but if you want clean, comfortable quarters where staff are top rate, the breakfasts great and the locality fascinating, look no further. Airport transfer available at less than taxi rates. Should we ever go back to Hanoi, that's where we will book again.

Stayed at the Rising Dragon Hotel in Hang Ga Street (not to be confused with other Rising Dragon Hotels) on our recent stay in Hanoi. It is a nice clean hotel and our room was spacious and quiet. The staff were really helpful and were great with tips on where to eat, day spas and went out of their way to accommodate us with showers etc on our early return from Sapa which was really great. The location is ok but not in the best part of the old quarter. The advantage is that you get to see a lot more of Hanoi because it is a 10 - 20 minute walk to most things like the lake, the French quarter and the Uncle Ho complex. This wasn't a problem for us at all because we love walking around and looking but if you like to be right on the doorstep of the action, this hotel may not suit you. We enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were particularly good and the breakfast service a standout.
