Our room was very spacious and very clean, location is excellent and there is a great choice of food for breakfast. Reception very helpful for booking tours around the city.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here from 25th-31st December 2013 alone. Staff was very knowledgeable in helping me book my tours. Even gave me a discount. They are very helpful, polite and fluent in English as well. Great hospitality.

Room was a little small but it was nice and cosy. It is reasonably neat and the entire hotel has powerful Internet connection.

Breakfast and airport transfer was included and it was also reasonably priced (better and safer option than getting scammed by unknown taxi companies). Breakfast was great - they offer a menu of 10 choices so there's always something different to try every morning.

Tipped them $50 at the end of my stay. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Hanoi.

We stayed at Rising Grand Hotel with our 2 children in December and everything was very good. We decided to come back to the same hotel after our trip to Halong Bay.
Staff was very helpful, the bedroom was very clean and of good size. It has a computer with internet connection, which my children loved! And which was very helpful to transfer the photos from the camera to the flash.
Breakfast has a good selection.
The staff can also help you organise trips around Hanoi and guides will pick you up from hotel. I think all hotels in the area offer the same service but it is very convenient.
Overall a very good place to stay at a very reasonable price.

For only $20(USD) per night it doesn't get much better than this. We got an interior room with no window (first off, your not getting ANYTHING more by having a window in the Old Quarter unless you like looking at an alley or another building 1/2 meter away) and this was one of the better places we stayed during our 3 weeks in all of Vietnam. Friendly staff, very clean, & nice sized rooms. All rooms also come with an in-room safe and hot water (which got very hot!) not to mention they offer a private car to the airport for a little less than a Mia Linh taxi (about 340,000VND). It is centrally located in the Old Quarter and only 2-3 blocks from one of the night markets so literally walked everywhere in no time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Check em out!

Room Tip: go with the windowless interior room. Your literally paying $15/USD more for a view of a wall and n...

This is a good quality hotel considering it's great value.

Not all rooms have windows (quite typical for hanoi) but rooms are nicely furnished, a nice size and air con worked fine.

The breakfast spread was simple but fresh (fruit, breads, pastries and salads) with a cooked to order omelette etc thrown in.

All the staff were perfectly lovely and extremely helpful.

I stayed with 11 Australian students in the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel Hanoi for 2 weeks in October 2013.There was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff. The hotel arranged taxis, transport to airport, SIM cards for our phones, exchanged money and arranged tours. Location was great -the Old Quarter. Walking distance to most tourist sights. Breakfast was fantastic with a choice of western or Vietnamese dishes. Rooms were clean and spacious and staff very friendly. Bookings were made easy by email a number of months prior to our visit. I would certainly highly recommend, and return to this hotel.

My husband and i stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are average, but the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. We booked our tours with them and they really give good recommendation on the type of tours that suit your lifestyle. We met some young girls that stayed here and the staff suggested them to book a party boat in halong bay, while the staff recommended a quieter more lux boat for us.

The staff also suggested for us to book a sapa tour, but we wanted to do our own thing and go direct with a local guide, so just had them arrange the transportation. My husband sensed that the staff looked worried about us not booking a tour, but we brushed it off. Boy did we regret it. Our local guide turned out to be a let down and we didn't get to go half the things we wanted to in sapa.

These people know what they are talking about and really care about their guests. Made me feel like we are part of the family :)
