It's your average hotel in the Old Quarter, with a double bed, and a computer in the room for guests' use. It does not have a backup generator, so when they cut the power, you're out of luck. There is also no elevator in the hotel, so this might be a challenge for travellers with a lot of luggage.

The breakfast selection is small, but sufficient, and you can ask for seconds.

I was originally booked at the Prince V Hotel, which is part of this same hotel group. When I got there, they said "something was wrong with my room". But, I could tell they were just overbooked, they were very busy.

They booked me into another hotel in their group, called just the Prince Hotel on To Tich Str. When I got there, they had rooms, but they were not that nice.

When the aircon was off, the room smelled like someone had been sick in it, and the all-male front desk staff seemed more interested in selling me a tour package every time I returned from my outings in town, than in my comfort and safety and satisfaction.

All in all, it was not a good experience and one I will not repeat again.

There are 4 hotels in the Prince chain, so you may be moved depending on availability of room. But, we stayed at 8 To Tich Street in Hanoi Old Quarter, fantastic. Staff, especially Viet and La were amazing, went above and beyond to help in any way they could. The staff here also speak either exceptional English or French. Book tours through them with confidence if you're keen to go to Halong Bay or Sapa. Definitely would stay again.

Room Tip: Only 15 rooms I think over 4 levels, only stair access, stay on lower level if this bothers you

We have spent many times in the Hanoi, Vietnam, but this was 1st time at Prince hotel. For such a cheap price, I have to say how superb the accomodation was.

Our large room, overlooking the old quarter, was cleaned daily, and towels and bed linen changed everyday.

The hotel staff were friendly. We thoughly enjoyed our stay, and will most certainly be going there again in the future.

The Prince is a bright spot in an even brighter city. The rooms are neat and clean, large beds, western bathrooms, air conditioned, cable TV and internet. Just two blocks from Hein Koan Lake in the old Quarter. The receptionist, Hoa (Flower) is happy to help with any arrangements. Although tours are available, like all hotels, non were forced upon us. They just let us know they were available to help if needed. I cannot think of a better place at a better price. Email [--] 8 To Tich Str. Hanoi

We satyed at Prince Hotel in No. 8 To Tich Street. It was great location in small street and just one minutes walking to famous Hoan Kiem Lake and silk streetd. The staff very helpful and kind, they help us buy silk and paint. The room was clean and confortable but small window in backside. We think this small hotel but cheap and clean with cheap price. Highly recommended this hotel for good price and great location.
