Bad, bad, bad. Transfer nowhere to be found from airport. Check in and the room specs were nothing as advertised. It was about 25s/m and what I booked and paid for was 45s/m. When trying to sort out the room the staff yelled at me, not take responsibility, said I causing problem. Very load from traffic and couldn't sleep. Do Not Book this hotel!!!!!!

We emailed Golden Wings ll to book our stay there. Little did we know that it had changed owner and the old owner (who still owned the email adress goldenwings2@gmail.com) booked us on his hotel Golden Wings instead. Without telling us! This hotel is no where near the standard of the other. Lousy shower, not very clean, non english speaking receptionists, smelling of mold..
Since we are backpackers used to stay in worse it was okay. But i would not recommend it and I would not stay here again.

Being on a budget but quite fussy its hard to please me, but i paid about $6 a night and i was surprised when i was showed the room, we had a hot shower, there was a flat screen tv on the wall which played english films (this came in so handy when we were cold and just wanted to be in bed all day!) the beds were really comfortable, and the cleanliness of the hotel was spotless as well, if there was anything bad to say it would only be that we were on the top floor not that it even mattered that much, and the first night we got told by reception our laundry would cost $1 a kg and the second night the manager told us it was $2 a kg, so think he was trying to rip us off, but we noticed if u shop around not too far you can get your laundry done for as little as 15,000 dong a kg!
So all in all i would recommend this hotel, it is slap bang in the middle of everything.

What a down place. When we arrived they were very friendly and polite, but that changed after I wanted to take a shower. Tried to put on the shower and I saw that the shower was very loose. I just pushed the button down with only my TUMB and before I knew i had the whole shower in my hands. Went down to complain about it and the staff was helpfull but were talking a lot of Vietnamese. (Probably to speak out their anger). They were helpull to put us in another room, but when we wanted to check out the next day, we had to pay 10 dollars more because WE broke the shower. I showered many times in my life (:-)) and I was never so strong that I had the whole shower in my hands with only my TUMB. They were very strict about it and the manager said that they only have good showers. We had to pay the 10 dollars extra to get our passports back. It's not that much money, but it's just the principal. For the same amount of money you can check out a lot of other hotels in the Old Quater who will be friendly to you and will help you when something like this happens.

Pushy staff trying to sell overpriced tours, broken air con that dripped all night, asked to get it fixed but they never did. Don't expect to get a good night sleep on the ground floor room, it's very noisy.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor room.

The rooms are really clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The location is very convenient directly in the Old Quarter and the service is perfect.
You can also book tours around Hanoi to Sapa or Halong Bay.
Definetly a really nice place to stay in Hanoi.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front have a little balcony and are much brighter

Situated at the old quarters near many restaurants and night market.
Small hotel in a old building. Many floors, but no lift. Our room was on the 5th. Floor, had to climb up a very narrow staircase. May not be convenient for some. Helpful porter will carry the lugguages up.
The bed was not comfortable, sagging and worn down. But very wide.
The ground floor room is very damp and smells musky.

Room Tip: Don't choose the ground floor room
