Right in the heart of Hanoi old center. Very attentive service from the whole team. Make sure you get a room with city view to avoid looking at a the wallpapered wall of the building next door. Strongly recommended

Everything about the Silk Path hotel is perfect.

1.The rooms are clean and comfortable (though smaller than what you would expect - I stayed in the Premium Deluxe room) with all the amenities you need such as safe, TV with cable channels, fridge, slippers and bathrobe, coffee/tea making facilities, a full bath, toiletries etc.and most importantly free wifi throughout hotel!

2. Staff are top-notch in service; they are friendly and helpful from the point I made reservation up till the end of my trip. My reservation was handled swiftly via email, check-in was smooth, staff responded well to questions, assisted with cab booking/flagging, housekeeping was quick to send up iron/ironing board when requested, room kept clean daily, etc. My colleague and I was dropped off in the middle of the road outside the hotel on one night as the cab was unable to make a u-turn and one of the staff came quickly to help us cross the traffic-crazy road! We were totally surprised and grateful as we had not called for assistance.

3. Buffet breakfast selection was good. I have a dietary restriction but the fruits, yoghurt, selection of bread kept me full enough.

4. Our room came with free use of the gym, jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna and we had a great time relaxing!

5. Finally the location - you can walk to the heart of the Old Quarter where the shops are from the hotel. It may seem like a long walk, but it is nice to enjoy the sights of the Old Quarter along the road. There are great silk shops too down the road towards the Hoan Kiem lake. Definitely a good location to base yourself in Hanoi.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, consider paying a bit more for rooms on higher levels that are not facin...

This was my first visit to Vietnam and Hanoi , so wasn't sure what the expect, but place was a nice surprise. Located in old quarter , relatively close to everywhere, about 1 hour drive from the airport. Hotel offers airport limousine transport. Friendly staff , always trying to walk the extra mile. Rooms and bathrooms with everything you can expect from 4 star hotel. If you have a chance get the upgrade to the premium rooms , which are bit nicer.Free internet is a great advantage. Gym and spa on the 10th floor. There are several bars and restaurant in the hotel which provide wide selection of food in case you don't want to leave the hotel. Totally worth it and will defiantly come back if have a chance.

Room Tip: upper floor not facing the main street are the best option.

I stayed in the Silk Path in July this year on business while at the same time reviewing 4 or 5 other hotels of a similar price and service. Most of the 3 star hotels in the old quarter are much of a much with some offering free wi-fi and others a sauna. Yes a sauna in a tropical country, but then it does tend to get quit cold in winter in Hanoi so it can be a welcome seight at end of long wet day. The Silk Path was one of my favs due its decor and breakfast. the rooms are very clean with private bathrooms, TV, mini bar and AC units. The main attraction for me is the Old Quarter itself. The old crumbling french coloinal buildings with there own private army or worker ants buzzing around all day on little motorbikes loaded to the max with goods of all types. Street food and street art are two of the main features of the Old Quater and well worth the walk to explore.

Room Tip: All ways ask to on the top floor if possible. You will be further away from the noise of the street...

Although somewhat pricey, the hotel was fantastic. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, rooms are beautiful and buffet breakfast was excellent. Good location too. My 2nd visit was as good as my first. Would come back again.

We have stayed in places before throughtout Aisa and now Fiji however I must rate this Hotel as one of the best. Sit out the front with a cold beer and watch all the bikes go past at night is soo relaxing. Staff and food were great. A short walk for Bia Hoi too.
