Well what a handy spot to stay we booked in for 4 nights and then stayed an extra 5 nights it was so handy to all the location we wanted to see and things we wanted to do.

The staff are very helpfull and mr Duc couldnt do enought to help out from place to see places to eat arranging Taxis Dus's English is very good and can make plenty of recommendations for any thing we were after.

The breakfast was good and the meals in the restaurant and drinks at the bar were all good.

We will stay again and wish all the staff the best in the future and look forward to our next stay.

We arrived very early in the morning and were very grateful for being allowed access to our room at 10am to shower, rest and change. The room was well appointed, but had no view. However this disn't matter as we only used it to sleep.

The staff were excellent, and couldn't do enough to please you without being in your face, and the restuarants provided a comprehensive range of food to cater for pretty much every taste.

It is great value for a 4* hotel, and in our opinion beats some 5* hotels we have stayed in.

The Silk Path is located on the edge of the Old Quarter, so you are straight into the hustle and bustle of Ha Noi, and its amazing traffic. An ideal hotel for tourists.

A tip for anyone new to Vietnam traffic, nobody stops at pedestrian crossings but use the anyway as a good place to cross. Do as the locals do and just walk out through the traffic, walk steadily don't run and don't stop suddenly. Choose a time when there are no cars or coaches coming as they are less curteous than the bikes, and the bikes will avoid you. When you get used to it, it is no more scary than jaywalking on the M25! The traffic system seems like chaos but actually it works really well with everyone driving with care and we never saw a single accident in Ha Noi during our visit.

This is a good value and convenient option if you would like to be in the bustling Old Quarter.

Wish I had more than just 1 too-short night here and explored more of Hanoi than just the Old Quarter. Staff were polite and obliging. My rooms faced the inside of the building, into a corridor which can only be pointlessly accessed from the outside, which was a little puzzling, but i'd think these are still better than the rooms that faced the busy and maddeningly noisy streets.

We had a very difficult time trying to figure out how to use the shower! Spent an increasingly frustrating 5 or more minutes trying to get the water to flow before I finally called reception for help using the bathroom phone, and had to rush to put on my clothes again while waiting another 5+ minutes for security to come to teach us how to use the !@#$ shower. Whoever designed the bathroom showers was impractical and idealistic, trying to be modern and sophisticated but failing to deliver.

Breakfast was alright with the standard spread + some local items, like the pho (Vietnamese beef noodle soup) which was acceptable (probably watered down to suit Westerners' tastebuds), though much better ones were to be found along the streets of the Old Quarter.

If, hopefully, i'm ever back in Hanoi again, will definitely make a beeline for this hotel.

Stayed with the family during a holiday trip. Rooms were of a decent size but very clean. Location is excellent and close to a lot of tourist attractions and night life. Price was very reasonable for what we got. This hotel is of a high quality and well worth the stay.

Our family arrived late at night so they didn't have 2 adjacent rooms as we had reserved. After short discussion we got the presidential suite for 2 nights!! That I can call best flexibility !
Except that I have nothing special to say - just a good place to start a trip in Vietnam

The Silk Path is a great hotel right in the heart of Hanoi and adjacent to all the delights of the old quarter. Close to the lake and not far from the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum this was a great base from which to explore Hanoi. The hotel is modern and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The staff were great and the service excellent. We also felt quiet safe both here in the hotel and wandering the delightful streets and alleys of Old Hanoi.

I found staff at this hotel not particularly friendly or helpful and the room was quite small. Our only window looked onto a small lightwell so it was rather like sleeping in a matchbox. The hotel is well situatedin the busy tourist area and they make a mean cocktail.

Room Tip: Perhaps you should ask to see your room before accepting it.
