Silk Path Hotel Hanoi is a smart, modern, up to the minute hotel. If you are visiting as a tourist as we were, the hotel is well located close to the charm of the old quarter. We stayed there twice whilst visiting Hanoi, the first time for 1 night before zipping off to Halong Bay and then again for two nights when we came back. The hotel service is efficient and friendly. The rooms are somewhat compact with an efficient layout. The buffet breakfast is pretty good. If you are keen on the hotel facilities you should be aware there is no pool, the gym and jacuzzi are pretty small. Many of the rooms have windows that face on to an internal light well. The rooms we stayed in were pleasantly air-conditioned but the windows could not be opened so if that is important to you that is a downside. On our second stay, you could look through the window across to the lift area which we found slightly odd. Overall a good comfortable hotel, well patronised by a mix of travellers and business people.
