“Best place in town”
Reviewed 24 February 2013

A perfect location to enjoy Hanoi and relax in the friendly atmosphere created by the attentive staff. Every request was immediately tended to with the utmost care and always with a smile. The rooms with "city view" are fantastic (702 with its balcony is breathtaking). Living in the midst of the busy old part of town is pure excitement.

Room Tip: Rooms with "city view" are wonderful. 501 and 702 have balconies overlooking the city.

My daughter and I booked 3 nights in arte hotel loved it so much stayed extra 2 nights. The staff were lovely, could not do enough to help all our needs(trips, restaurants, booking tickets) nothing was to much trouble.they had a lovely sense of humour just perfect. We were there for their new year and they could not get a taxi to get us to the station. no problem for them , they took us on motor bike and did not leave us till we were on the train in the right carriage.( really funny experience , if you have been to hanoi you will understand) The rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We also loved hanoi, really noisy buzzy city. All we can say is thank you to all the staff at Arte hotel for making our stay so special

The reason I call this review Above and Beyond is that everything about our stay at Art Hotel fit this description. It was our first time in Vietnam and first stay in Hanoi. The staff was very attentive to our individual needs. While the hotel is on an active street near the Old Quarter, our room was quite comfortable, and also very quiet, being in the rear section of the building. The breakfasts were excellent and made to order. We were given extraordinary treatment by any standard. To ensure that we successfully made our late night train departure, they sent a staff person along with us to the RR Station. He accompanied us through the gate and onto the train, where he helped us find the proper sleeper and deposited us and our bags safely on our way. Wow! I would go back in a minute. Unfortunately, I have to earn a living so I can afford to do it all over again! These short comments don't adequately encapsulate the friendly, warm atmosphere of this place.

Room Tip: If you desire quiet sleep, ask for a room in the back of the hotel.

Very clean, modern & comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful ! They remember everyone's first names & greet everyone warmly. Our room ( 501) was spacious , had a nice balcony overlooking the city, very comfortable bed with luxurious linens, huge bathroom with fluffy towels & robes. Free wifi and a laptop in every room. Breakfast was a nice spread of fresh fruit, juices, cereal, French bread and pastries, jams and cheeses , great coffee, and a menu you could order from - all included in the great low price of the room. The welcome drinks when we arrived was a nice touch!

What a find this was, from the minute you walk in the door you experience the warmest welcome and that excellent customer service continue right to the very end.

The hotel is really in the heart of the action the streets are nothing short of completely crazy and it feels like you take you life in your hands every time you cross them so this was a welcome oasis in the craziness.

It is spotlessly clean with WIFI in the rooms and real attention to detail. The breakfast was also excellent.

If you are looking for an extremely reasonable spot to spend a few days in Hanoi this is it!

The staff of the Art Hotel add so much to a visit! They are determined to help you enjoy their city and are willing to book tours, call cabs, do whatever you might need. They are friendly and sweet and made me, as a solo traveller, feel at home. Even those who didn't speak English perfectly made sure to find a way to assist.

The lodgings themselves are in a charming old walk-up -- no elevator, beware! It is right in the heart of the Old Quarter, not far from the lake and the water puppet show, and near the main tourist attractions, too. Furnishings are old-fashioned, but technology is not. There is free WiFi, and in my "superior" room, I had a free laptop, too.

There is fresh fruit provided in the room each day, and staff bring a bedtime snack every evening! Very cute. Breakfast was included, and while not extensive in selection, the food was plentiful, and the juice was always freshly squeezed from fruit in season.

Good restaurants are a block or two away, as well.

Room Tip: I had a room with a city view. When the windows are open, you hear all the horns and hustle and bust...

Great little hotel in a great location in Hanoi. The staff were extremely helpful and happy to go out of their way to assist you with any requests. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I found the Art Hotel to be great value for money and included breakfast. I would happily recommend this hotel to my friends.

Room Tip: If you want a window ask for a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the street.
