We arriving in Hanoi in The morning, and was met by the Hotel transfer car. Didn't expect to get access to the room so early ( 11.00) but as it was ready the staff was flexible enough to let us have it straight away! The rooms are large by any standards, with kitchen unit, and coffe, tea, water provided every day. It always strikes me in hotel pictures on the web how there always are flowers in all the hotel rooms in the adds, but never in real life. But here is where it changes...there was a fresh red rose in a vase as well, and fresh fruit on arrival. Now you do not stay in hotels for the sake of flowers, but it sets this Hotel off from others!Breakfast was a la carte, with a fruit and sweet buffet, and plentiful.Service in this hotel was tops all round in every respect, all staff did their best! It is right in the middle of the old town, and everything is walking distance. The hotel also provided us with good info on what taxi company to use,and areas of interest in Hanoi. All in all we were pleased with our stay, and would gladly stay there again.

We had a memorable stay in th this hotel; rooms and service were excellent and location was great. The staff went out of their way to make our holiday enjoyable and we appreciated their takeaway breakfast when we checked early early in the morning. Our thanks to Steven Thuyen and his staff for making this stay memorable. We ould not hestitate to recommend this hotel to any travellers whether single or couples. The only negative was the hotel's closeness to the railway line but after several nights we easily got used to the train noises.

From the first time we walked in until we left, you are made to feel welcome. The room we had was great size. The bathroom is good. The bad point is the bed is so hard. The breakfasts are also good and a good selection. If you can't be happy, something wrong. We had them book our air tickets to Denang and the train to Sapa, which was good and the prices very good. We were able to leave the bags while we went to Sapa.Rising dragon is walking distance to the lake and there is a great Cha cha cafe near by.Having a laptop and free internet was a bonus.
Overall, a great place to stay and would recommend it. Ask for a soft bed when booking.

We stayed at Rising Dragon on 3 separate occasions over a fortnight. Each time the service was great; our names were remembered and every attention was paid to requests we made. A pickup and delivery service to and from the airport was arranged for us every time.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and always smiling. Language was not too much of a barrier as each staff member has quite a good understanding of the english language. Just remember that it is a different lifestyle over in Vietnam so go with the flow and relax.
I would recommend this hotel and intend to frequent it again when I do go back to Vietnam. The breakfast was adequate and the hotel is very, very clean. A laptop was available for use and the TV had a good selection for times when we wanted to rest. The locality to everything is also a bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back may be a bit quieter, but this is only at night when the trains go past. You actu...

This place is the best hotel I've ever stayed in!
The spacious, spotless room is more than lovely, with a separate bedroom (which is very convenient if you are travelling with a person who goes to bed much earlier than you do ;o) ).
They even have a laptop in every room!
The staff is wonderful! They do everything to make you feel at home. We had our home base in Rising Dragon Estate Hotel, and everytime we returned we were welcomed with a huge smile and a big hug! We didn't feel like guests anymore, we felt like family!
For instance, I had forgotten my camera from home (not really handy when you go on holiday...), and David Trung, the managing director, immediately offered his own camera to use for the time being!
I can go on, and on and on about this amazing place, and it's amazing staff, but the best thing to do is experience this place yourself and book it! You will have the best stay in Hanoi ever! For me the hotel and staff are number one and I will definately go back again!

Room was more like a suite with seperate bed, living and shower room. High end fittings, white bedlinen and two-way aircon, essential in chilly Hanoi winter. Staff exceptionally nice.Bed a bit too firm for me but this was the only fault. Good location in Old Town.
