“Excellent Staff and Clean Room!”
Reviewed 7 January 2013

I stayed here for a couple nights in Hanoi. This was my first time visiting Hanoi so I wanted it to be extra special. The hotel offers group tours through an outside tour group vendor. The tour information is posted in the dining room on the ground floor or you can speak with the front desk staff.

I stayed with two other friends in a room with 1 full size bed and a twin. The room was sized just right. There is a big armoire to store your clothes. The bedding was clean and the bed was extra firm. The room included a balcony that overlooks the old quarter of Hanoi. Toiletries are provided on a daily basis. If you want more towels, just ask for some.

All of the employees are proficient in English. You will not have any problems communicating with them.

Free breakfast awaits you every morning from 7AM. You can order any of the hot entrees from the waiter. The entrees are made to order. The breakfast crowd gets busy around 7:30AM so be sure to get there early to save your seats.

We did not book the tours offered by the hotel. Instead, we asked the hotel staff to find a motorbike driver that will take us around town for a set price. They found two reliable drivers at 200,000 dong per driver to drive around for one hour. It was not a bad deal at all.

The hotel is conveniently located near many of Hanoi's attractions. Walk around the neighborhood and take in the many of the local eateries and shops. Don't be afraid to eat outside while sitting on the plastic stools. The food is delicious. The local people are friendly and welcoming. Same goes for the hotel staff.

The location is great. Easy walking distance to most attactions with others at a short taxi ride away. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were given a room which was not the standard which we booked, we flagged this with the staff and were moved the next day. The large suite on the 8th floor was twice as nice as the first room we stayed in. Make sure to check this. breakfast was 2/5 but comparable to an average hotel stay breakfast in Vietnam. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were cosy, clean and well-maintained and the breakfast menu is good. Although the location of the hotel may not be as attractive as the other Rising Dragon hotels, the service, warmth and sincerity of the staff here more than made up for that. The manager, Mr Son and his team were meticulous and saw to our every need with enthusiasm and patience. We had gone on a day trip to Sapa and returned to Hanoi on an overnight train. When the train pulled into the station at 4am and the train door opened, we were greeted by the friendly smile of one of the hotel staff who had been waiting for our arrival. The hotel is a 2012 Tripadvisor winner. It definitely deserves the award and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.

The hotel is in a very interesting location, a nice walk from Hoan Kiem lake and enough removed to be much less touristy. My room was a bit tight, but certainly comfortable, and breakfast was goo -- with options for eggs, French toast, and the like. The staff was great -- everyone helpful and pleasant. I had been moved here because another branch of their hotel was undergoing renovations and I was very happy.

Room Tip: The "02" room I had was very good...

This made me and my wifes stay in Hanoi amazing. Super friendly, helpfull staff, perfect location! Nothing to complain about at all! They helped us organize taxi transfers, trips to Ha Long bay and booked our flight tickets to Phu Quoc. Much love and a big thanks to everyone at Rising Dragon Estate Hotel! Highly recomended!

We spent 4 nights in this hotel in 2 superior rooms with double bed at $27 per night.
Rooms' cleanliness is tip top, amenities are excellent for the amount of money spent.
The staff are proactive and professional. Breakfast is freshly prepared with a choice of either American/English or Vietnamese cuisines. Being a fruit lover myself, I might say the variety of fruits available for breakfast is impressive.

We moved on to Thailand for another 2 weeks after leaving Hanoi. Sadly none of the hotels we stayed at in Thailand could match Rising Dragon Estate Hotel in terms of price/quality and service.

Rising Dragon Estate Hotel will always be my benchmark for accommodation in my future travels.

In Hanoi, the Rising Dragon Estate Hotel at "St. Nguyen Van To" offer a very good relation price / quality. It is superbly located. The rooms are modern. The staff is exceptional. Very professional. There are coffee and tea included 24h a day self service. They check the room immediatly after you check out. So I was still in the hotel when they come with my battery charger of the mobile. Uau!
At the reception you can find a really help to chose the best program to visit the most famous places. There you can buy tickets or rent a car at reasonable price. They are very helpfull. If I return to Hanoi I will take this hotel again. Ah! they have for free very good maps of Hanoi.

Room Tip: The rooms are good but there are rooms with different sizes. If you are not satisfied they will give...
