“Small and Clean Hotel in Old Hanoi”
Reviewed 18 February 2013

Rising Dragon Estate hotel is located in old quarter of Hanoi near wet market. Within walking distance, one can find numerous side walk eateries especially selling traditional vietnamese noodle. The hotel is within 10 minute leisure walk from Hoan Kiem Lake in central Hanoi where one can find many shops and restaurants.
We stayed at deluxe room on the 4th and 5th floor ( room 404 and 504) with balcony facing the street and view of Hanoi old quarter. The room was reasonably spacious for 2 persons and very clean without any smell of smoke. The bathroom was small but clean and the cold and hot showers worked well. Cable TV and wifi in the room worked OK.
Manager, Mr. Sen, and his staff were friendly and really helpful in advising us on Hanoi street safety and suggesting day tour around Hanoi. Despite having to work on their new year celebration, their attitude was commendable. The hotel also exchanged US $ into vietnamese dongs at a reasonable rate
Breakfast was OK with choices of freshly prepared american, english, and vietnamese breakfasts. Fruits, coffee, tea, and juices were self served and freeflow. Not a 5 star breakfast, but very adequate for us.

Room Tip: We stayed at deluxe room no 4 (404 and 504). Both rooms have balcony facing the street and with view...

A great hotel in the center of Hanoi. Great walking distance to all areas. On a great street full of Vietnamese charm. A little bit noisy but your in the city so its what you expect. Breakfast was ok, not something I would rave about. Very friendly staff. A little bit of confusion over our room on arrival. We were put in a room which was not what we had booked. The language barrier may have been the issue here and it was sorted the next day. Clean enough. The better rooms are worth paying for as there is a huge difference in cleanliness and space. Generally they were much nicer. There are views over the city from balconies at the front so I would recommend staying here but you can hear the tooting of the motorbikes but this noise is everywhere so just enjoy the view.

Rising dragon estate hotel enjoys a fairly good position in town. I stayed in the facility with a friend and we share a huge room with quality furniture and two separate environment. The staff didn't excel for friendliness or knowledge and overall the experience is good for the price, but not exceptional.

As I wait for my departure from your beautiful country, Vietnam, I want to write a short note thanking you for all your assistance. From the first business reply to our good-bye handshake, your professionalism and caring attention to personal needs were exemplar. A sincere, Thank You, for everything you have done to accommodate my accommodation and itinerary requests.

Also needing compliments is your staff at Rising Dragon 3. They were always helpful and filled with positive energy. Please tell them again "Thank You" for me.

I will surely recommended your services and utilize again upon a return to Hanoi and North Vietnam.

I wish you and your staff a wonderful and prosperous 2013.

Peace and Love,
David White

We had a great stay and when I'm back in Hanoi I'll stay here again. The room was compact and nicely decorated with new bedding and fittings. Very neat with great air-con, no noise, and excellent breakfast included. The staff were fabulous. Once we left a bag with bottled wine in the foyer, and though they had no idea who left it, they held it and we were able to claim it 3 days later when we returned from a tour. Then we left a new branded football t-shirt (worth 90 euros) in the room, and they forwarded it to us internationally when we got in touch. We were so grateful for this as it wasn't easily replaceable without heading back to the country it was purchased in. Can't speak highly enough of this hotel.

its great value for money and the loacation in old quarters makes it a really good choice.

It was unexpected, found this hotel in the early hours. Nice staff who let us stay half a day because we were waiting for our flight that evening. Affordable and nice hotel. Room come with a good breakfast and they also provide taxi service to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay there even for half a day.
