“So glad we stayed here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Arrived at the nova hotel. Was greeted at the door with tea, bags were moved for us inside. Met henry who was wonderful. Sat us down, really interested in hearing about our travels. Asked us about our time left in vietnam and organised the whole of our last week. Gob smacked he made a plan and booked everything to our required needs. Fabulous, didn't have to search ourselves or make any phone calls. The rooms were spacious and clean, and in an excellent location, everything within walking distance. The beautiful smiley receptionist (lan) and the awesome thomas. Made us feel so welcome. The service here is outstanding. I wanted to put adorable thomas in my suitcase and take him home with me. He took us out to show us where to go for our shopping list and where to get the best coffee to take home with us. Love you guys. I would recommend anybody to stay here. We loved it. We reached Hanoi for the last week of our trip and Trip advisor had marked Nova Hotel as having some excellent reviews. We are so glad we took their views on board.
We stayed in many hotels throughout Vietnam during our trip from South of the country to the North. Many of them were excellent but nothing compared to the service we received from Nova Hotel. When we arrived we were welcomed with big big smiles and a drink. Before we had even checked in properly, Henry (The Manager) had asked us what we were hoping to do over the next week or so. He put together a package of trips that would include all we wanted to do and more. He had also negotiated better prices for us and managed to book us in to "fully booked" hotels by making a few calls Time was precious for us as we were in our last week. We wanted to visit Sapa but thought too much of our time would be taken up by travelling. Henry substituted this trip with a home stay visit to Moi Chou (not sure how it is spelt) and we were blown away with the beauty of this place (only 4 hours travel!). We wanted to go to Halong Bay and Cat Bah Island and Henry advised to visit these places in a few days after our homestay visit as these places were jam packed full while Vietnamese were on National Holidays. Right again!
Another member of staff - Thomas, was a bundle of joy, always happy to help and advise which places to visit or where to eat. All of the staff were so friendly and we looked forward to returning to the hotel after each of our trips. The Hotel is located in the Old Quarter, a few minutes walk from the Lake, Bars and everything else you want to visit.
I would like to send a big personal thank you to everyone at Nova Hotel for making our stay in Hanoi absolutely perfect!!

We stayed here last year and we were blown away by the service. The staff were great, they helped us getting our bags to the train station (amongst other things), they always went over and above the call of duty. When the Wi-Fi and air-con wasn't working in our initial room they were very accommodating and moved us promptly.
The hotel is located in a great spot in the old quarter, and the staff have some great tips on where to eat (including 2 doors down is the best Bun Bo, fantastic!)
Thanks for everything, Jimmy, Kim, Shana and Darren.

Room Tip: Great view from the top floor rooms.

We stayed here for one night. We booked a superior room and we had a free upgrade for a slightly bigger room with a balcony from the 5th floor. The view is not bad, but not spectacular.
The room was nice, the mattress was comfortable to sleep, bathroom was clean.

Only some decoration pieces were dusty (decoration blanket, decoration pillows and bolster, and coffee tray). But after moving them to the side it was ok.

The staff were very helpful. We had some problem with the free wifi signal and closing the door to the balcony, and they were fixed directly. They also gave us a lot of tips.

It was a nice experience to stay here.

A friend and I stayed at the Nova Hotel in March, was clean and had excellent service, the receptionist named Lan was helpful and a lovely girl. We did some side trips and left our luggage at Nova which was very convenient to be able to take a small bag and know your other belongings were safe.
Henry organized transport and guides when we needed them and was great to be flexible so as to go places when the weather and mood suited.
Breakfast good with choices and they always asked if you want more, our room on the top floor fab, with a bath good for soaking after trekking.
The doorman drove me all over town in the rain on his motorbike to find some plastic shoes I wanted !!!
The staff at Nova are definitely at your service
I would go back and stay at Nova again

Room Tip: Top floor was a great room with a balcony and a bath

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nova and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Always friendly and outgoing, nothing was too difficult. We made many arrangements through Henry for Halong Bay, Sapa and onward travel, all of which have worked out well.
Organising any activities within Hanoi were also no trouble and advice always accurate.
Nova is perfectly placed in the old quarter for a great experience.

My husband, granddaughter and I spent one week at the Nova Hotel with a one day break when we went on a Halong Bay cruise, which the hotel organized for us. We would come back to Hanoi to visit the staff if it was closer to home. Every recommendation and organized trip Henri and staff made for us was excellent. We recommend Mr. Dong who was our excellent English speaking guide on several trips. We felt welcomed back home every time we came back to the hotel. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, interesting art in each room, well air-conditioned, and
sound proofed from the outside noise. Great view from front rooms. Back rooms didn’t have
windows but were okay. The breakfasts were lovingly served and our every desire catered to.
The location was excellent, walking through the surrounding streets always an adventure, finding new things every time we went out. We highly recommend this intimate hotel for its service, its comfort and location. thank you Henri, Thomas and Lan and others for your care.
