Stayed 3 nights at end of January. Booked airport pickup throught hotel and driver waiting for us. Have to walk down a side road to hotel but porter meets taxi and takes you to hotel. Exceptional staff, nothing is too much trouble, Our room wasn't ready but they gave us another one until it was. We had a balcony room 401 which was very nice. Booked city tour with hotel. Breakfast was very good with quite a few choices. Would stay again and recomend.

Room Tip: Would definitely recommend a balcony room.

We had two family suites which were not as huge as the photo but still good size. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. Breakfast was alright, not spectacular. Staff was very courteous, except one staff who was not willing to exchange US dollars for smaller dong so we could pay for taxi, which made it hard for us. Also, the neighborhood was pretty rowdy at night, and the streets around was a big dirty; and the taxi could not pull up to the front of the hotel in the alley so you will need to drag your luggage for half of a block. Other than that once we got over these, we enjoyed our stay.

Pros:
Incredibly friendly staff - from inquiry to check-out, helpful and pleasant.
Tasty breakfast (included) - good pho along with local fresh fruits, lots of variety.
Great location - short walk to all the major attractions.
Fantastic value
Seamless airport pick-up/drop-off

Cons:
Very loud. It's hard to find a quiet hotel in Hanoi that's in a good location, so the hotel can't be blamed too much. They allowed me to switch rooms after one night to a room on a higher floor facing a different direction, but it was still loud.

We stayed here for two nights and what a great little gem of a find in the hustle of Hanoi the rooms clean and large enough everything you need fridge kettle safe , toiletries. Breakfast was good. All the staff where very friendly and helpful they even took us to the train station and waited while our train came. We will definately stay again if in Hanoi .

Room Tip: The rooms on the back are quieter

There are many hotel options in Hanoi, but we found Pearl Suites hotel to be a perfect choice for us.

We arrived into Hanoi at 6am, and Pearl Suites had sent a driver to pick us up (included in our price). They were waiting for us, and quickly got us to the hotel.

Even through normally check in would be later in the day, they were extremely accommodating. The moment the previous guests checked out, they quickly cleaned the room and gave it to us - they understood we were tired so we were in the room by 9am!

Also, while we were only staying one night (meaning one breakfast would be included), they offered us a second free breakfast while we waited for the room to free up and be cleaned. The breakfast selection was great - vietnamese hot options included different types of pho, they had western choices like eggs and pancakes, and then there were also continental breakfast options.

The location of the hotel is conveniently located in the old quarter and makes it easy to get around by foot. The staff is great about offering help and recommendations on sights and restaurants. They even helped us plan our Ha Long Bay trip!

The room was clean, had free wifi. Beds were a bit hard, and the hot water was limited so we needed to take quick showers, but it was fine.

Highly recommended provided you can stand a bit of Hanoi noise and don't need luxury. For more details on the hotel and other tips on Hanoi, see my post: http://www.mangopancakes.com/2012/12/arrival-in-hanoi.html

I was nervous when booking our hotel in Hanoi as tripadvisor seemed to have a high number of suspicious reviews on so many hotels I wasn't sure what we'd find.

I can't remember how I stumbled across this hotel but from the very first email enquiry the service was exemplary. From arranging the room, baby cot, airport transfers and visas, everything went extremely smoothly.

We were met at the airport by our driver and taken to the hotel, as other reviewers have mentioned the road the hotel is on is not accessible by car so you'll be dropped a few metres away but someone came to greet our car and help with the baggage.

Our first room was 401, a deluxe balcony which was nice but very small especially with the baby cot in the room as well and when we mentioned this to the front desk they moved us the next day to a much larger room - 301 at no extra cost.

The balcony rooms I think are nicer than the others but they are very noisy all day. Things do go quiet from about 11pm but you'll hear the odd motorbike and of course the cockerels in the morning!

Breakfast is served in their basement restaurant and there is a buffet selection of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread, Vietnamese spring rolls, juice, tea & coffee (coffee was great) you can then choose from a hot a la carte menu (bacon, sausages, eggs, pho, sandwich, french toast & pancakes)

The staff really make this hotel, everyone was super nice, chatty and always helpful. We had our baby with us and the ladies in the restaurant would take her so we could eat our meal at the same time (a rare treat!)

A couple of minor gripes were the hot water didn't seem to last very long in the shower and as we visited in winter the room was pretty chilly.

I would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I spent two days & night in this hotel when we first landed in Hanoi. Although we paid at a very low and reasonable price but the services rendered by the hotel was more than what we paid for! The hotel provided airport transfer to the hotel, early check-in on the first day and late check-out until 8pm on the next day without any extra charges. The hotel staffs are extremely friendly and helpful in terms of recommending lunch/dinner restaurants and showing us the way to the places we wanted to go! They fulfill all our specific needs and very flexible in changing our initial requirements on transportation from/to the train station without any charges. Additionally, the breakfast served was awesome! Apart from having food & drinks on the buffet table, they have a menu filled with other choices of breakfast. The waitress will even served the food & drinks right on your table.

On the day we were back from Sapa at 5am, we needed transport from the Hanoi train station to the Old Quarters and a place to rest as well as breakfast before we head off to Halong Bay at 8am. The hotel allowed us to make a new arrangement and provided transportation, a room for 6 of us to shower and rest as well as breakfast for each of us at a very great deal!Furthermore, storing luggage in the hotel even you are not going to overnight is free of charge.

I would like to thank Mr. Alex, Ms. Lai, Ms. Anna and other hotel staffs on behalf of my friends and myself for your excellent service! You are all wonderful! Overall, this hotel is value for money and a great choice!
