We book 4 rooms 2N stay in this hotel, the rooms are big and clean, the restaurant provide western and local breakfast. if you like the local food, just walk out from hotel you can see all kind of Vietnamese local food and restaurant, if you like shopping, you can get it here by walking distance. The manager and staff are very helpful and always with smiling face. We are strongly recommended to stay at this hotel to all my friends when they visit Hanoi.

Room Tip: room on the 5th floor - water presure a bit low.

We, a mature aged couple, stayed at Pearl for 4 night's. We had a huge balcony, room spotless clean, walk around the corner to good restaurants with great food and prices and shops, water puppets and lake. Everything in the old quarter is in easy walk...fabulous area. The breakfast was lovely with daily choices. The staff are amazing...nothing too much trouble and happy, friendly people. Alex, the manager, booked us a tour of Halong Bay and Lan Ha bay that was wonderful and great price. Also booked our trains to Sapa, pickups and drop offs and flight back to Saigon. All this at great price's and services to match. Held our luggage whilst away and gave us a room to nap in before heading off again. A wonderful place to stay and we'll be back. Best hotel of our 2 month trip!!

Room Tip: Ask for balcony room...big and able to see and hear local life.

This hotel locates in a street at the old downtown, it's very convenient to do shopping.
The room was clean and big, however, there is a night bar on the same street makes noise until 11 pm.
The breakfast provided by the hotel was fair, but staffs were very friendly.

The hotel can also help visitors to arrange the trip to other scenic spots with the travel agent, but overcharge is expected (of course no receipts).

To sum up, it is a hotel suitable for the travelers who just stayed in the night.

Room Tip: The rooms face to the street will have noise from outside

We stayed here for a few nights before heading out to halong bay for a 3 day tour (which the staff at the hotel were more than helpful booking).
We arrived at hanoi airport just after midnight to be greeted by a hired and pre-payed driver. He took us directly to our hotel.. Because the pearl is down a "back alley" ( just as busy as a quiet street) our concierge met us at the road.. Insisted on carrying our bags and even offered a warm meal as he knew we had been travelling.
They upgraded us free of charge to the family suite which included a larger floor plan and beautiful bathroom.
The rooms are clean, fairly quiet (except for the horns and loud music from the bustle of the streets) we were on the second floor and could hear a fair bit till about 1 am.. If u were to get a room higher up I'm sure It would help.

Breakfast was a delicious little spread of fresh fruit, Pastries and delicious coffee.. Then they give u a small menu to choose your main course.. (Pho of course) and nothing short of delicious

We will definitely be back to the pearl grand suites if we ever visit hanoi again..

Great value.. For 15-20 US.. U just can't go wrong..

Cheers

We've budgeted for around $35 per night inc breakfast for our hotels-we paid $30 for this hotel making it the cheapest of our trip so far. The manager, Alex has excellent English and local knowlege which he is only too happy to share. He's been great booking tours for us and just helping out in general(he went out and bought rain ponchos for us but wouldn't take any money for them. The breakfast selection has been the best of the four hotels we have stayed in going a bit further than eggs 5 ways! Our room is spacious, clean and reasonably quiet with only 10 rooms in the hotel! The hotel is well situated in the Old Quarter

Room Tip: with only two rooms to a floor, it's hard to make a bad choice

Stayed 3 nights at end of January. Booked airport pickup throught hotel and driver waiting for us. Have to walk down a side road to hotel but porter meets taxi and takes you to hotel. Exceptional staff, nothing is too much trouble, Our room wasn't ready but they gave us another one until it was. We had a balcony room 401 which was very nice. Booked city tour with hotel. Breakfast was very good with quite a few choices. Would stay again and recomend.

Room Tip: Would definitely recommend a balcony room.

We had two family suites which were not as huge as the photo but still good size. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. Breakfast was alright, not spectacular. Staff was very courteous, except one staff who was not willing to exchange US dollars for smaller dong so we could pay for taxi, which made it hard for us. Also, the neighborhood was pretty rowdy at night, and the streets around was a big dirty; and the taxi could not pull up to the front of the hotel in the alley so you will need to drag your luggage for half of a block. Other than that once we got over these, we enjoyed our stay.
