We stumbled on this little place by accident - it is quite small and in the middle of the Old Quarter. The service is very friendly and the food is very good. I thought prices were fairly inexpensive and the food was fresh and the drinks were cold.

I would have to say the the delightful girl who was working there the 3 times we went to Pineapple probably played a big part in our returns. She was so helpful and accommodating, actually remembering us and our drink order and how we liked them served each time - the service really was great and we loved the food. I also loved the beautiful traditional local pottery they served all the dishes on. It is nice that you have a choice of sitting at street level and watching the world go by (my choice) or you can go upstairs where it is quieter and probably colder airconditioning.

No hesitation in recommending this place it is great and we will be back (soon!!)

We went to Pineapple on a whim because we were walking by and it looked good. They wanted to seat us upstairs but the upstairs is kinda BLAH so we opted to split our group in two and sit downstairs. The food was very good and prices were reasonable.

We visited Hanoi old quarter last week! Our travel guide proposed to us to have lunch in this small restaurant in the old quarter. He was right. The place was simple but the food was excellent. We had the lunch menu. Everything was very tasteful, especially the aubergine pot! Do not miss it if you go there.

We visited Pineapple in April this year on the recommendation of one of the staff at our hotel.

It is a tiny little place with the most amazing food and lovely staff. We were traveling with a very fussy five year old and they went out of their way to make him food he would enjoy, plus fussed over him and spoilt him with attention.

Food was sensational, I wasnt keen on the rice pancakes I ordered but that was due to my own personal taste, but they were cooked beautifully and the filling was fresh and full of flavour. My husband had the beef and son had the fried rice, both amazing dishes!

We are going back to Hanoi next year, and it will be our first choice for a meal again.
