Extremely helpful and friendly staff, free breakfast and great wifi connection. Pretty tight quarters and view was of a brick wall in the room but possibly the standard for all we know. Room was very clean and the staff fulfilled all of our (slightly needy) requests with a smile.

It was the first night of our stay in Vietnam, and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel to start our travels. This is mainly because the receptionists are particularly helpful especially Kathy who speaks excellent English, they booked and arranged all our onward train/bus tickets for the rest of our trip.
They were also very accommodating when we requested a very late check out (at a small charge) as our train departed in the evening.
Great location in the Old Quarter, excellent value for money including breakfast which is both buffet and made to order.

A lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff. The rooms are spacious & comfortable. The only negative is the shower & toilet are separate to each other & have frosted glass walls which does not provide enough visual privacy, also you have to undress outside the shower & then dress yourself outside the shower, again no privacy when travelling with teens or friends

We absolutely loved this hotel.

The included breakfast was the best in all the hotels that we stayed in during our travel of 3 and ½ months in five countries. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The room was perfect and actually very romantic. (Rose pedals on the bed).

The neighborhood was close to most everything, or a short taxi ride from some museums. This hotel is a good value for the price.

Another testament to the list of glowing reviews for this hotel here. Was planning to do a solo trip to the lovely city of Hanoi (Vietnam), through the week, and did research on the hotels available like all other fellow travellers here. That's where it all begun.. Had emailed a few hotel selections on my queries and received the fastest reply from Cathy, who represents this hotel. Not only that, being my first solo trip, she was very patient with my list of queries and is very informative to address them. I finally felt at ease when everything is managed to be finalised before my day of flight.

Finally arrived at the Hotel on Tuesday late noon and was warmly welcomed by the hotel staff. Was immediately offered a temporary room for shower and preparation for my night train to Sapa after confirming my personal details, as well as my pre-arranged tour details (To Sapa and Ha Long Bay) with them. They offer decent rates for tours within Vietnam as well. Rooms are clean, decent-sized, with typical room amenities being readily available and well-maintained. There is also a decent spread of items available for their daily buffet breakfast, which you can easily taste quality.

Overall I would rate Rising Dragon Villa Hotel highly and one can be rest assured that they spare no effort in providing good customer service. Thank you Cathy and Hue, and every one who played a part in making my stay pleasant and memorable. Cheers.

Very friendly, helpful staff offered a welcome drink on arrival, gave us a map and showed us local highlights. Our room was ready even though we arrived early. Great location, good sized room, great shower. Breakfast is fantastic, buffet plus menu available. We booked our trips to Halong Bay and Sapa from here too. Highly recommended.
