“Really professional”

Really professional and helpful staff! Rented a motorbike there. The motorbike was in really good condition. Unfortunately I had an accident. The 24h assistance phone helpline really made my trip back to Hanoi much easier under such conditions. They were really fair as to the price of repairs.
I highly recommend Flamingo Travel.

All I can say is, you will not find a more professional company of its kind anywhere.

The level of English is good, service is good, motorbikes are good; highly recommended.

“Motorbike Hanoi to HCMC ”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

A late review but I owe it to the guys in Flamingo to pass on the good word. They did a superb job at all times.
We rented 2 ybr125cc, a yamaha 125 scooter and a van with driver for our journey south. Despite experienced riders we had an unfortunate incident with gravel and one rider broke his hand. Flamingo were brilliant. They took the bike back, we paid fair and local rates for repairs and continued on our way.
Honest, reliable and fair. Top marks guys.

“Amazing experience”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We did a full-day motorbike tour of the Hanoi area with Minh and Hip (sp?) and it was a wonderful experience. Two of the adults rode their own bikes, while my 15-year-old daughter and I rode with drivers. A word to the wise: if you choose to drive your own bike, you won’t get much of an introduction to riding, and first thing you’ll ride across a crazy busy street to merge onto another crazy busy street. Not my cup of tea, but both my husband and friend who did it said at the end that although it was terrifying, they would definitely do it again.

Our daughter rode with Minh, and he completely made the experience for her. He talked to her the whole time they were riding, telling her about Vietnam and what it’s like to live there, talking about what we were seeing, etc. She’s not a kid who warms easily to adults she doesn’t know well, but she was completely taken by Minh.

We spent a little more time in Hanoi than we would have liked – I mean, right in the city. And I think the regular tour spends even more time in the city than we did, but we told Ming we really wanted to see the surrounding area, since we could see all the Hanoi sights on our own, and he was happy to oblige. I thought the motorbike aspect would be a little nerve-wracking, but after the first few minutes, it wasn’t scary at all.

We went to a pottery village where we saw the “factories” (I use this term so, so loosely). We went to an agricultural area where we tasted some sort of fruit from the trees (I can’t remember what it was). And we visited the house/studio of an artist who happened to be home and was gracious enough to talk with us for a long time, give us a tour of his home and the grounds, and serve us tea. And we saw lots of the countryside, just seeing how people live day-to-day. The whole thing was an amazing experience.

If we're lucky enough to make it back to Vietnam, we'd love to take a multi-day motorbike tour!

“Fantastic way to experience the real Vietnam.”
Reviewed 13 May 2014 via mobile

We signed up for a 3D/2N tour around northern Vietnam and were presented with an itinerary and guide that exceeded expectations.

Our guide Minh had just developed a new tour that took us up mountains and valleys through the north where we passed by incredible views of country life. Both nights we stayed with local ethnic minorities, and were warmly welcomed into their stilt homes.

The food was excellent and we tried fantastic "home-style" cooking. The sights were outstanding - we couldn't have asked for more. We went for hours and hours without seeing another tourist and were treated to the excited 'hellos' from children delighted to see a foreigner passing by.

If you want to see a part of Vietnam that exemplifies the simple country life, Minh will guide you there. Minh was professional and helpful throughout. The only part of the tour that we found a bit tough to navigate was through some wet mud. But if you're OK with getting a bit dirty at times, then you're gold.

Overall - I would recommend Minh and his tour for a unique and adventurous way to explore the incredible scenery, culture, and people of Vietnam. Thanks Minh! "Keep going, never give up!"
