This is our third visit to this property and already we are feeling down because we are leaving tomorrow. Once again, the staff have been outstanding. Everything is done with a genuine smile by everyone.

Yes, the hotel is older but that's part of its charm and it is certainly kept in good condition (although somewhere other than the top shelf of the closet for your clothes would be very helpful). The Executive Lounge is great, with a very good selection of food each evening. At the weekends, it has a family feeling as people relax and catch up on work or settle in with a cup of tea and a good book.

The breakfast is one of my favourite parts of staying here. I could just eat the wonderful fruit and be happy but I am happier with the delicious pastries and a little sample of something different each day! My husband is thrilled that the bread pudding is still on the menu and made a beeline for it the first and subsequent mornings.

The GM, Executive Chef and managers of different areas can be seen in the public areas and restaurants making sure everything is in tip top shape and greeting guests. That's nice to see.

Finally, the location, as others have noted, is excellent. It is nice to be near the old town but even nicer to come back at the end of a busy day and be able to relax and escape from the organized chaos that makes Hanoi such a great place. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Keep up the great work and thank you :-).

Room Tip: I believe that most rooms on the 'even numbered' (Opera) side of the hotel are slightly mo...

The hotel is very beautiful inside and out. It location is perfect and there are always things to do very close. The staff was attentive and very friendly and always seemed to go out of their way to assist you.

The executive lounge was "nice", their breakfast was "so-so".

The only issue I had was the room size, this is definitely smaller than your normal Hilton room in the U.S. The room had a slight "cramped" feel to it, but it was clean and well maintained.

The Hotel is close to a lot of little shops and the street is very active. Sometimes a little too active, I had to figure out how to cross the street without getting hit. I ended up waiting for a little old lady to make the first move and then simply used her a shield (kidding!)

Word to the wise.. Just edge out very carefully and they will just go around you!

The hotel is very close to Ho Goum lake.. it is a great place for a nice romantic walk, day or night. On the north side of the the lake is the Old Quarter. This is the tourist spot. Lots of little shops and a lot of great places to eat. HINT - Weasel coffee.. Ask where it comes from BEFORE drinking it!

Overall.. nice hotel with nice people.

Checked in late. Helpful staff and everything vent smooth. Staying in Hanoi, this is really an option. Recommend it. Good breakfast with local specialities. The hotel has a very large lobby with a nice bar and comfortable seating arrangements.

Rooms are very outdated. Carpet is really bad and had a very bad smell when we arrived. A double bed is just two singles put together. Fitness Center and Breakfast are very good. They also charge $15 per day for the internet.

Very good city centre hotel for tourism or business trip. Quick efficient check in, friendly and helpful staff. Surprisingly large room and bathroom with separate shower, all the facilities you need.
Really comfortable bed and pillows, quiet at night despite traffic noise outside. Easy location next to opera house for local restaurants and walk to central sights. Ba Mien was good restaurant for dinner, not too expensive for city centre hotel and nice choice of local dishes to try.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the higher rooms facing gardens

Great hotel in a great location. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly Hotel could do with some modernisation, décor seems a little dated, not really a complaint, more an observation. I found the food excellent although my business colleague is Muslim and he found the food quite restrictive, there are Halal restaurants in the area close by. All in all good stay, would definitely stay again
