We stayed here as part of a Jules Verne tour of Vietnam Laos and Cambodia. First impressions of the entrance are wow. We arrived at 11pm and were given a room on the 5th floor. Other members of our party were given rooms on the 4th floor and higher floors. On entering the bedroom you could hear the boom boom of the disco from the 3rd floor. I went down to complain and found other members of our group in a line asking to be moved, they were on the 4th floor and said the noise was unbearable. The reception told us the nightly disco would end at 1am and could not move us as the hotel was full. We went back to our rooms. Next morning the building work stated at 8am. loud drilling and banging. So if you want a quite stay at this hotel make sure you are allocated a room on the highest floor possible.

The hotel is used by for business guests and is very busy. The public areas are very good. The location is also good, we walked out to the old town, near the Cathedral it only took about 15 mins for a nice meal.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor, the night club is on the 3rd floor and you can hear the music every night until...

I stayed at this hotel for 9 days in November - what a great place to stay. Not the cheapest but well up with the best.
The room was great, the housekeeping excellent and the breakfast buffet (included in the room cost) exceptional.
Had no chance to try the other restaurants in the hotel but overall this was a very good stay - highly recommend this hotel when in Hanoi. It is in a good walking area, close to Hoen Kiem Lake and the old part of Hanoi.

After the nightmare of negotiating millions of motor scooters, what a peaceful and relaxing hotel. The staff were most friendly and helpful. the rooms were comfortable abd had a good few nights sleep. We were upgraded to a suite on our return from Halong Bay and iy was superb. The breakfasts were good and so was the lunch time buffett =plenty of choice and freshly prepared food. The only slight disappointment was a rather cold outdoor swimming pool.

...I use that title most likely because we went there for out honeymoon and they upgraded us to a suite on the 15th floor - the room was unbelievable! Absolutely huge, plasma TV, massive bed, 2 bathrooms, fresh fruit everyday, a living room with study desk and a view over Hanoi! Breakfast had a great, wide spread as well. The rest of the hotel was lovely too and the staff were very very friendly so special mention for them. Loved our stay here... even though we were a bit spoilt!

I' m not complaining about Hanoi Melia Hotel . People working there are so nice, sweet, helpful, welcoming. They upgradet me to an apartment room. Clean. Goob breakfast. The only disappointing thing is that it needs a refresh, it still has old moquettes in rooms. Otherwise it s in a good location. It s a touristic hotel, for groups of people.

Stayed for 3 nights in October, very good stay all round. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi. For ease on first night ate in hotel restaurant - seafood buffet - which was excellent, choice was unbelievable. Although quite expensive in relative terms, worth it and free wine was included! Staff very attentive and friendly. Even provided a full breakfast for our group on a 5am early morning start, thank you.

To join the conference with people about 800, I stayed at Melia hotel on September 2012. Hotel is easy to access.I got a van that it parked on the left side of the airport about 4$.The front service of "Melia hotel" was the same 3 stars hotel but room service was excellent. I stayed at the 10 floor. I could see the city view during the sun rise. You can walk about 20 min to the Loan Kiem Lake, if you want to see the water puppet or shopping around there. The hotel's taxi service very expensive. The security is good. The elevator and room were accessed by key card. Breakfast was variety and good taste.

Room Tip: choose high level. There is a goo view of Hanoi city.
