Dear Lorenzodelmondo,

Thank your for the nice review, especially coming from someone who's profile shows a lot of travel experience, and that our special Pullman beds offered you a great night sleep.
We are aware that our coffee machines are a bit complicated to use when you need a latte, and we are negotiating with our supplier to change them soon.
Our staff is always ready to assist guests on this and bring the coffee to your table, so do not hesitate to order a fresh one of your taste whenever it suits you at breakfast without bothering about the machine on your next visit.

Regards and we wish you safe travels,

Pieter De Weerd - General Manager

I've stayed at the hotel for one whole week for a conference event. I was warmly welcomed by the reception/concierge staff who were smiling and helpful all the time.
OK rooms with good A/C control and basic amenities and fast and stable free WIFI connection.
Bathroom seems nice with the big shower and rain-shower head however there is not enough water pressure for the rain shower to work properly and water temperature cannot be adjusted properly ( always too hot)
Found the shower a bit dirty with hairs inside left either by the previous guest or housekeeping.
Finished shampoo was never replaced in 1 whole week.
Breakfast is ok with good selection and excellent french pastries and breads but the coffee machine sucks...the milk frother worked 1 time out of 10.
The service staff at the restaurant should smile more and they are annoyingly efficient as your table is cleaned as soon as you stand up (even to get a spoon or coffee), only to find out that the food is gone from the table once you return.
Please be aware of the temperature in the meeting rooms...is either -15C or +35C...somebody should teach them how to use the thermostat.
A special mention to the concierge staff, very efficient and helpful with taxis and restaurant reservations.

Room Tip: Probably a deluxe room with king bed on non-smoking floor.

Dear P_K_2008Croatia ,

I really apologise for the bathroom issue you encountered and we took the necessary measure to solve this and avoid repetition in the future.
Regarding the (over) efficiency of the restaurant team, it is a Asian cultural habit to clean up table very quickly, especially when it is a buffet service.
Also Vietnamese visitors like to have cold meeting rooms, so we have to try to balance the needs of our guests as we had various conferences on our hotel during your stay. We are working on improving this by adding more temperature sensors to have a better regulation of the air-conditioning.
Thank you for the nice feedback about our Concierge, you made them proud.

Regards and we wish you safe travels,

A pleasant business type hotel. Facilities were good and free wi-fi in room a bonus. Staff were very friendly. Only downside was the breakfast, it was much like eating in a canteen. A lot of uniformed people around, not sure if there was a conference going on or they just came in off the street!

Dear Thepenguin,

Thank you for the information provided.
Indeed, during your stay there was a international conference in our hotel for Embassies Defense Attaches, that explains the uniforms in our restaurant and lobby.
We wish you safe travels and hope to welcome you again soon,

A great hotel. Well situated and within walking distance of all the main attractions in Hanoi. We stayed for 2 nights. Our room on the 2nd floor was close to the spa and had a view over the swimming pool. The room was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The free WiFi worked well from our bedroom. There is a great view from the lounge in the top 22nd floor, especially at night. A good place to stay.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the swimming pool are great.

To be blunt, this was prolly the worst hotel experience in all our 3 weeks in Vietnam. We pushed the boat out and picked this 5 star hotel for a bit of luxury, and in our opinion its not close to a 5 star hotel, it feels like a 3 or 4 star business hotel, I really dont know how they can claim to be a 5 star hotel, with 5 star hotel prices for everything. One of the lowlights was cold terrible coffee [from a crappy cheap coffee machine] for breakfast, in a country with amazing coffee everywhere we stayed. Also getting charged $1 to print a single page in their business center, the only hotel I have ever asked to do that as far as I remember. We rang the spa for a treatment, and they cancelled on us at last minute, and I was in there later on for another reason, and it looked like it had not been staffed or used for weeks to be honest.

We had booked for 3 nights, but left after 2 and spent our last night somewhere else.

Dear JoeOr,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Pullman Hanoi. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.

As for the 1st floor business center open to all staying guests and visitors, we charge as most hotels for services provided, although we offer complementary Wi-Fi throughout the whole property. For or guests in executive floor those services and many more are complementary, even providing with additional benefits, so please do not hesitated to ask for a upgrade on your next visit.
We had an electrical issue with our coffee machine during breakfast and the machine was replaced the same morning, unfortunately during that delay our staff did not help you with a fresh hot coffee from the bar, I will see with them how to improve the service accordingly.
The Spa center in the hotel offer great services, and is often fully booked. We are also finishing the renovation of the Sauna and steam room along with a Jacuzzi, and they should be available in the first week of November.
I checked why your reservation was canceled and was informed that one Spa staff member could not assist the guests anymore due to a medical condition and therefore they has to cancel and reschedule some appointments.
Please do not hesitate to contact us on your next visit so we can make sure you can fully enjoy the Spa.

We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.

Sincerely, and we wish you safe travels,

Stayed at the Pullman Hanoi for 2 days on a business trip.
It's good value for money however could do with a revamp here and there. Apparently it used to be a different hotel before and Pullman took over.
Staff is friendly and attentive.
What's been missing is the charm, the personal 'touch'. Especially the executive lounge (waste of time) and breakfast area.
I'd come back for business but for leisure I'd stay somewhere else.
