Owner description: Anchored by the Peace Memorial, these gardens offer 50 acres of trails, fields and gardens, including many flowers, trees and concrete sculptures. Two small lakes offer swan boats and fishing spots, and an island in the middle is popular for couples. There are trails for runners and cyclists, fields for sports, and ample opportunity for bird watching.

Ex zoo turned into a park, nice place to walk and relax, reasonably quite and the features are the beautiful aged trees that dot the park.
It's 30 min walk from the Old Quarter, you can visit the south part of West Lake and it's close to the B52 lake.
All in all it's a pleasant place to visit and walk around, 2,000 dong entry fee.

This is a nice, medium-sized park full of an assortment of trees, grasses and flowers plus a couple of lakes. It was once the zoo, before the location was moved. They kept a couple of peacocks and monkeys, and there are some huge apartment-sized bird-house complexes on the little island that draw lots of pigeons. There is also a small sculpture park. Lots of benches and peace and quiet - a nice place to bring the kids or a good book and enjoy the shady surroundings. It's kept pretty clean, though it could be a bit better in that regard. But for the admission fee of just 2,000d, I have no complaints!

This park is a small-ish comfy-cozy piece of green in the middle of Hanoi, it looks a bit deserted / run down, although I kept seeing people sweeping and cleaning up ... maybe they are getting ready for the summer. The display of peacocks and monkeys is a bit sad, but still ads a bit of magic for kids and the peacocks actually pranced around showing off their feathers. Nice place and I totally do not mind the minimal ticket fee.

We have visited many parks in Hanoi, and this is by far one of the best. Its clean and well maintained, and rather pleasant to walk round. It's not like the Botanical Gardens you may find in the west, and furthermore do not expect to find things such venders selling coffee and ice cream...etc. This is just a really peaceful place to allow you to unwind sitting by one of the lakes.. Enjoy...
