Seeing the simplicity of Ho Chi Mihn's lifestyle was both illuminating and inspiring. There is a real sense of place here - you can close your eyes and see back decades - very well done.

Well worth visiting. Hoi Chi Min was clearly a humble man who did not seek out the trappings of power, the house reflects his simplicity, the gardens are also simple and the small lake full of gold fish is interesting, clap your hands loudly and they will surface to be fed. Near to the Mausoleum, The French Governor's residence, which Ho Chi Minh shunned as a place to live
stands boldly next door.

Well worth visiting the complex of buildings used by Ho Chi Minh whilst in office. Clearly a humble man who did not seek out the trappings of power. Near to the Mausoleum, and accessed next to the French Governor's residence, which Ho Chi Minh shunned as a place to live.

I am told by our tour guide Lin of HanoiKids that after the father of the house an 'uncle' is the next most important person in a family.

With Ho Chi Minh leading the humble life he did - indeed he chose to live in the former house of an electrician rather than staying in the grand Presidential Palace across the way.

It was truly interesting to see his humble accommodations with little gifts from leaders around the world including a radio from Fidel Castro. I especially clocked on to that being from the West Indies.

And for the motor car enthusiasts there are 3 antique cars in the garage - including a Peugeot 404 from the French president and another from the Soviet Union as gift in 1954.

Finish off the tour by having a go of clapping your hands to bring the fishes to the surface of the pond..

Part of the Ho Chi Minh complex tour and ticket price and is suitable for persons with push chairs and wheel chairs.
