This was our favorite museum in Hanoi. Because it is outdoors, we had to wait until the weather cooled down. We like the history and antique artifacts of this Confucius school. We also found a lot of souvenirs we liked at a reasonable price.

I was surprised how much I got from this visit. Nice place to come and visit on any stay in Hanoi. Beautiful gardens and the Confucian temple is fabulous.

If you are interested to know more about the different ethnic groups of Vietnam this is a place to go. Each ethnic group is presented by original products and clothes. There are also a lot of interesting films to watch concerning traditions and life of the different people- There is also a garden where they built up traditional houses. It gives a small Impression about differences between ethnic groups, their daily work and their way to live

Beautiful place to visit in Hanoi. The gardens are well kept and it is very interesting to see the first university of Hanoi.

Its a very small compound and while its very well maintained, some look like the person maintaining the place took some creative liberties when putting it together. The individual items of interest are not very well labelled but I suppose the biggest issue I had was that it doesn't give you a sense as to what its impact or relevance was on today's Vietnamese society.
