Stay here for 6 nites as compare to other newer hotel this hotel is definitely better. But taxi cannot stop in the front if the hotel as u have to cross the road in order to get on the taxi. But many cars on the Hang Bong street actually so quite dangerous to cross so I may suggest u go to Silk Path hotel which is about 20 meter away to board or drop off from taxi.
Breakfast place is clean and good but limited choices and they will not replenish the food or juices once finished. So u got to go earlier for food. If they have put more choices and change some dishes will be good for long staying guests like me. I have requested for flat pillow but they said room running full so no more pillow. I have to wait until 3 days only then have the pillow that is flatted. Also I think during winter time they should on their heater at all time for the guests.

This hotel is beautiful. Everything is clean and new. It looks a bit like a fancy doll house on the inside. The staff is very friendly and will accomodate you in any way that they can. During our stay they arranged taxis, helped us with an ATM, extended our stay and even offered to cook us noodles after the kitchen was closed. The hotel is very quiet and clean. The rooms are warm with plenty of hot water. They also offer free wifi. The spa treatments, although off site, are really nice and I would recommend them. The breakfast is just mediocre, but fine. We had laundry done and everything came out fine. The only negative is that the hotel is a bit of a walk about 15-20 minutes) from the real center of the old quarter. However, we looked at some other hotel closer to the lake and center of the old quarter and nothing could complete with this hotel. It is a great value and I look forward to visiting again when I come back to Hanoi!

We just came back from the trip to Vietnam and this hotel was one of the best we stayed. The most outstanding thing is the excellent services they provided. The staff are very kind, attentive, polite and speak English very well. They even helped to find another hotel and walked to send us off when we told them we needed to stay longer but their rooms were fully booked. The location is also good and the rooms are nicely decorated. We also went to one day trip in Halong Bay booked with the hotel and it was well organised. The taxi to the airport here is just 10 USD which is very cheap! Nothing bad to say about this place :)

The Angel Palace is a relatively new, centrally located hotel. Keen to establish an excellent reputation, the English speaking management and staff pride themselves on providing excellent and helpful service. II found the rooms to be immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, with modern Asian aesthetic touches. The set menu was well prepared and tasty, and is a good option for those with less adventurous culinary tastes. However, the street outside of the hotel is lined with traditional street food, and a tasty bowl of pho will cost you around 40 dong. The hotel provides free wifi and reception provide travel services and commsion free currency exchange. The hotel is safe, warm and friendly and provides a reasonably priced service to and from the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

We spent a lot of time looking for a hotel online from Australia, and so glad we found the Angel Palace Hotel! The room was excellent, despite no window. There is an interior light well that acts like a window. Great shower, super clean room/hotel, and very comfy. The staff are remarkably helpful and friendly, and not in the least bit pushy about tours. We had a room on the 9th floor, and whilst the hotel air con system was loud, it didn't stop us sleeping (both of us are light sleepers normally). Absolutely no traffic noise from the room, which was a blessing. The included breakfast was fine, nothing flash, but hot buffet, as well as a cold selection, and awesome coffee! It's around a 15min walk to the main lake, through the old quarter, and a very enjoyable walk. Staying alive crossing the streets became a scary/fun challenge, and started to feel fine quite quickly. We highly recommend this hotel, it is fantastic, and definitely worth the money.

We stayed here a week and it was a great place to stay. It was clean and the staff was super. My husband told them I love mangosteen and they went out and bought me a bag! Coung at the front desk was amazing and most helpful as well as the rest of the staff, I don't remember their names. We found that when we were out and about, the people were not friendly at all and rude, quite frankly. But when we got to our hotel, we forgot about the jerks and were treated like royalty by the staff. The only negative thing was the laundry we sent out to be done, wasn't finished on time and came back damp. We had to take it as we were leaving. We would highly recommend staying here.

At first, I thought Angel Palace would be a very basic hotel. However, I was proven very wrong.

Location: It's located in the heart of the city so it's very accessible. Shops, convenience shops, cafes, street stalls are a stone throw away. Need anything? Just head downstairs to grab whatever you need.

Hotel Room: I was wowed by the interior decor of Angel Palace! The hotel is done in Victorian style illuminated by soothing yellow lighting - Cosy! The rooms are not exactly spacious like the big hotels but it is oh so quaint and lovable. Amenities in the rooms are the same standard as a four star hotel in Singapore! Nicely done bathrooms complete with toiletries with a even a rain shower! If they can satisfy two female vainpots who are effy when it comes the standard of the toilet, they can satisfy anyone!

Service: Service is beyond excellent!!! They will bring up plates of breakfast if you don't feel like coming down to the restaurant to eat, advice you patiently if you have any questions like couriering back heavy bulky items and even remember to wish you a happy birthday! Also, when the staff see that you have difficulty crossing the road back to the hotel, they will walk and bring you across. The bartender at the mini bar will make small talks with you (as a bartender should) and generally, everyone always have a smile to greet you!

If you're looking for a value-for-money, yet nice cosy hotel to stay in the heart of the city, this is the hotel for you!

Room Tip: Pick the corner rooms as they're more spacious!
