“Heavenly Hidden Haven in Hanoi”
Reviewed 24 October 2012

Art Trendy Hotel made my first visit to Hanoi and to Vietnam most memorable. I spent 18 years in Thailand so I have experienced excellent service before. But Art Trendy Hotel redefined "customer service" by taking the concept to a new, higher level. This hotel should really be ranked a 5-Star Hotel for its unbeatable service!!! From the moment you book the room to the smallest detail, the entire staff provided stellar service. Each person was attentive to my every need. He/She would go out of his/her way to make sure that I ate at authentic Vietnamese restaurants and that I visited local sites. The staff was very proud of their hotel and their city - and it showed in the care that they provided. There was no way to have a bad experience at Art Trendy Hotel, as the staff would overfeed me a delicious breakfast every morning, inquire about my daily activities and book me with top-rated tour companies, call the taxi or motorbike to ensure that I got the best price, and make sure that I enjoyed my time in Hanoi. In addition, the staff was not shy about using their English to engage me in fun conversation. One final note: Art Trendy Hotel offers a comfortable airport pick-up and drop-off service in a private car at a great price (US$18); free Wi-Fi with laptops in each room; turn-down service at night; dialy room cleaning; unlimited breakfast; excellent recommendations for haircuts, massages, etc. at local prices. I will recommend Art Trendy Hotel to all of my friends and family. Keep up the stellar job!!!

Room Tip: Choose a high-level room facing the main street. It has good light.

We arrived in Hanoi with no expectations about hotels in Vietnam and left understanding true Vientamese hospitality. It will be very, very difficult to find another hotel of this calibre - the staff are amazing and attention to detail is suberb. We were upgraded for free - thank you so much. Also, we had an amazing honeymoon surprise on our bed - such a nice touch. The rooms are great, showers excellent and very clean. We ate Pho for breakfast and it was delicious. Most importantly the staff are friendly, cheerful and willing to help with every request. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you! James and Nadine :)

This place really stands out thanks to the sheer friendliness of the staff, they were always super helpful and considerate. I was travelling with two friends and all three of us were very impressed by the staff and hotel itself. A great price for a great hotel - and fantastic location. Well worth staying here if you get the chance.

We were traveling as a family of 4 (2 parents and 2 adult sons) and Art Trendy Hotel in Hanoi was the first hotel we stayed at in Vietnam. The staff were exceptionally kind and responsive, the breakfasts were fresh and generous, and both rooms we booked were clean, comfortable, and attractive. The location of the hotel provides easy access to authentic Vietnamese restaurants and significant sites. In addition, the hotel is on a neighborhood street that allows visitors a positive glimpse of life in a Hanoi urban community. From our rooms we watched the store keepers across the street set out street side tables for friends and guests to enjoy meals together, watch their young children at play, and co-exist with other small businesses and homes. Prior to our departure, the staff helped us find and book a reservation at an excellent hotel in the next city we had planned to visit. They also made sure we made it to the train with confidence and time to spare. This is a terrific choice for travelers who want a reasonably priced, friendly, responsive, aesthetic and comfortable place to stay in Hanoi!

We really enjoyed the 3 nights we had here. The hotel had only been open 3 days but you wouldn't really know as the service was great and everything seemed to run smoothly. Everyone is well trained and very keen to help. Everyone tried really hard to remember all our names and greet us with them.
The opening special rates were excellent and included one free transfer from the airport in a car or, half price van transfer. Situated in a small side street with very little if any through traffic .We stayed in two family rooms. The beds were great; not your usual rock hard Asian variety. This from my experience is quite rare in this price range. The rooms were slightly more spacious than the usual in this area with huge bathrooms which was a bonus. The rain shower/hand held combo was divine, and there is a small window in the separate shower. Extra touches like plug adaptors and umbrellas are provided. Fruit and water is also provided daily. Speaking of food, the breakfasts were great, if a little slow. Only one cook with 2 hobs so at peak time you have to be patient. I'm sure as they learn this will improve rapidly, along with including all the items in the set. We never did get those baked beans! The menu was quite extensive, with enough options to easily satisfy everyone. We didn't need to use their help with any bookings etc, but got recommendations for places to eat and shop etc... Location is in the northern area of the OQ, but only a 10-15min walk to the lake max. There's a really great Spanish Tapas bar not too far away, and a restaurant specialising in Hoi An cuisine nearby too. They provide a useful map but just be aware that it does need updating, and some of the places featured are long gone! We know, we walked all over town to find them. Check Out they made a slight error and under charged us a night, which we noticed and told them, so we ended up doing a split payment, which probably could have been avoided but that was minor. This is a sister hotel of the Art Hotel.
Overall a very good choice with nothing to complain about except some inconsiderate guests
with noisy uncontrolled children who started before 7 playing games outside our rooms and the stairs. We'd gotten in from the airport late so were hoping to get a slightly longer sleep.

The Art Trendy Hotel was our first stop as a family in Hanoi. We could not have felt more welcomed. The staff made sure we understood the area, had suggestions to guide our trip, helped us to find our next hotel in Que and gave us a generous and delicious breakfast with eggs, banana pancakes, and Pho made to our personal tastes.

We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

I stayed 4 nights at the Art Trendy Hotel in the Old Quarter district of Hanoi. The hotel is new so everything was clean and crisp... It is the staff that really makes this a gem. Eva and Thuy were on top of everything! They even took me on the back of a scooter to a pharmacy the first day when my back was killing me... That was my first day in Hanoi and the kindness they showed me was greatly appreciated... This is the first leg of my trip and I can only hope the other hotels will be as hospitable. When I came back, will definetly stay again...
