The service was amazing from my first step in the door. Staff are very friendly. We received complementary drinks and it was nice to talk to someone that can understand English. We were escorted to our rooms and all our questions were answered. The free wifi is a huge bonus! And for 30 bucks a room/ night it's great value too!

We stayed at the beginning of March, From the moment you get to this hotel you are made to feel 100% special! The service is the best I've ever had anywhere in the world, the girl on the front desk! sorry I don't remember your name! I think you are a credit to this hotel! you are so nice and helpful, you remember everybody's name and even told us a bit about Vietnamese culture
The guy behind the front desk, is also very attentive and helpful, he even went with us to buy a SIM card for our phone.
Great English is spoken, so they can tell you where to visit etc.
The rooms are great, very clean, safe, TV and a laptop in every room!
Our side of the hotel was a bit noisy in the mornings, but we could live with this and didn't ask to be moved.
The breakfast is amazing, and they will always ask, if you want more and will give you free tea and coffee whenever you want. You get a welcome drink and front as soon as you arrive too!
The girl behind the front desk helped arrange our overnight train trip to phong Nha ke-bang, not only did she book it all, the hotel sent a guy with us to make sure we got on the train ok and we got the correct beds etc, what service, all for free!
If your going to hanoi, stay here, seriously you will not get better for the price!
Thank you to you all at Arts Trendy

This boutique hotel located on a narrow street in the old quarter of Hanoi is a real gem! The customer service is superb…comparable to 5-star hotels!! Charlie & Kathy were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They greeted us by name when we arrived late the first evening, and the delicious banana smoothies and fresh fruit given to us upon our arrival made us feel extra special! We stayed 2 nights at this fine hotel – 1 night before & 1 night after our Bai Tu Long Bay Boat Cruise. The hotel stored some of our luggage for us while on the cruise and once again greeted us by name upon our return. The first room we stayed in #301 was very spacious and extremely nice. My sister & I laughed when we saw the rose petals scattered on the bed with the heart-shaped box with jelly type candy and a love poem!! Nice amenities in room, and even a laptop computer. We had our iPads, so we never actually used their computer. The complimentary WiFi was very good. We did not notice any street noise in our room, and the beds & pillows were very comfortable. The room on our return #501 was a little smaller, but still very nice. The delicious smoothies are only served on the first arrival date. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The fresh fruit and breads were very fresh, and the juice selection was very good. Yogurt & cereal were also available. Then to my surprise, I was informed that you could also order any item from the menu!! This was by far one of the nicest complimentary hotel breakfasts I experienced in Vietnam, as well as in the USA!! The only suggestion I would make would be to make sure the hotel map indicated “Art Trendy Hotel", as the hotel icons on the map were for the “Art Hotel” & “Art Essence Hotel” and we ended up at the wrong hotel when we were out exploring. Luckily, I had the business card for the hotel so the taxi driver was able to get us to the right location in time for us to catch our airport shuttle that afternoon. The hotel informed me that the printing company had incorrectly printed the name of the hotel on the map icon. That was the only negative thing about our recent stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again if I ever return to Hanoi.

A girlfriend and myself spent one night at Art Trendy Hotel before Halong bay and Sapa. The staff was exceptional: they helped us with every little request we had, brought us to the train station and helped us to issue the tickets, picked us us and offered us shower upon our return although we were not anymore clients. We have never experienced such a helpful and genuinely kind staff! The location is also great and facilities of the hotel are very good. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wishes a comfortable and carefree stay in the city.

We stayed here for two nights prior to a Halong Bay tour and one night following our tour in a "deluxe city view" room. Art Trendy organized our private car pick-up from the airport--quiet driver, clean car for 18 USD each way. The hotel itself is in a great location and very walkable to the tourist areas.

When we arrived, we were very tired from our travel to Hanoi that day -- our check-in process took a long time (apparently they need to register hotel guests with police?), and while the welcome drink and fruit were nice, we really wanted to check-in and crash. We were shown our room and given a very detailed explanation of everything in the room... kind of annoying when you're dead tired. Also, there isn't much of a "city view" from the second floor, but you do get all the sounds of the city. Bring earplugs. Had I known there was a "quiet" version of the same room, I would have requested that. The bathroom was in decent condition, and the shower was wonderfully hot and powerful. The room lock is a digital lock, and the in-room safe is electronic. The WiFi signal was also very strong in common areas and in the rooms.

Breakfast is included with the room, and was spot on. You selected a cooked-to-order item from the menu, in addition to a small spread of coffee, tea, juices, toast, etc. The kitchen isn't available the rest of the day it seems, just for breakfast.

Most of the staff was very nice and personable, the right amount of chit chat without overdoing it. Unfortunately, the gal running the hotel's front desk was overly chatty to the point of being a bit obnoxious. My husband and I found it very grating. Too helpful, too inquisitive, it was too much. THEN we were given a customer feedback form prior to our check-out, which my husband gladly filled out to let them know the staff attention was average, as we found one of the staff members to be irritatingly chatty. Not only did they read the comment card before we checked out, we were confronted in the lobby and followed down the street by one of the staff members about the average review, demanding to know why, and apologizing profusely for our disappointing stay (that wasn't the case as we did have a nice stay--very melodramatic). The very act itself called out why we marked the staff attention as average! Unreal. We left with a bad taste in our mouth and felt quite uncomfortable by this confrontation. We received a follow-up email later that day with a 15% discount offer and a list of apologies again.

Overall, the hotel itself is a fine place to stay if you can tolerate the staff's grating overattention to detail--it was too much for us to handle!

Room Tip: If you have a room facing the street, bring ear plugs. The hotel isn't tall enough for a "c...
