Room was top value, but it was the friendly staff that got me to write this review. They booked and picked up our train tickets, organized our cruise in Halong bay and set us up with a great massage place. They pretty much operated as our travel agency.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Art Boutique Hotel in Hanoi, and had a fantastic time. Although the Art Boutique Hotel has a 3 star rating, the service we received there surpasses that of most 5 star hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are not luxurious, but very comfortable and clean by the best standards. Above all, we felt very safe there, and could walk to almost everywhere from our hotel...

We stayed in the family suite with city view (501), so our room faced the busy street, but the double glazed glass blocked out most of the noise. In any case, all the noise dies down by 11ish. The beds were very comfortable, firm and spacious. We had a nice sundeck, which allowed me to catch a few rays while sipping on a cold Bia Hanoi (very nice local beer in the mini-bar). The housekeeping department came every day, and cleaned our room, as well as wash the bathroom and the wooden flooring... with a smile. Laundry service is available at $2.US / kg. Drapes block out all of the light, so we could really sleep in... There are a few English movie and news channels available, if you find time to watch TV at all... ;) Well worth the price, especially given the handy location.

Without a doubt, this small boutique hotel would not be what it is without the dedication of its staff. I have stayed in a few 5 star hotels in my days, but I don't recall any staff who were so obviously connected by pride and their desire to work as a team... Over our 2 week stay, we got to see these young people in action every day, in the heat, in stressful situations, in overwhelming situations, at the end of a long shift... They always remained professional, and consistently demonstrated the highest level of character... Everyday we were greeted by genuine care and smiles...

Thank you so much to Sue, Charlie, Emily, Mr. L (you know who you are... :), Lucas, Fiona, the housekeeping staff, the kitchen staff, and of course, the friendliest and kindest doormen ever...

You deserve an A+!

Room Tip: I think they are all nice, but we really liked the spaciousness, and the balcony of room 501.

Went as a couple and had a great time here. It was one of the cheaper hotels in the range thanks to a great online offer and did not disappoint on comfort or service. The rooms were a good size, always clean and with all the amenities etc. the real stand out here was the service though. Really personal feel throughout, with amazingly helpful and useful staff. The breakfast was also one of the nicer we had on a trip with a nice selection of fruit, eggs and other western dishes as well as a great pho. The final touch was when we were passing through Hanoi on our way back from sapa a couple of days after checking out. They insisted on picking us up from the station and gave us a room for a couple of hours to shower in before moving on to hoi an. Overall - a great place and strongly recommend it.

I spent a week at the Art Boutique Hotel and enjoyed every minute of my stay from the moment I entered the hotel until I left.

The staff was top-notch when it came to customer service. The hotel and the room I stayed in, (303) were very clean and nicely decorated. What I especially loved about the room was that it was quiet and only had a small window, which made it very dark when sleeping, though I'm a big fan of blackout curtains.

The free daily breakfast was great and filling. Not the typical continental breakfast but honest to goodness breakfast dishes one can order off a menu.

The hotel is situated in the old part of town. Lots of great little streets to explore just outside the door and it's not far from the cities attractions. Plus there is a bevy of great little restaurants right next to the hotel. You can't go wrong with a stay at the Art Boutique Hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Room Tip: I stayed in room 303. It was quiet but didn't have a large window. If you want a window to looko...

The staff here are absolutely amazing, very helpful, kind and have a good sense of humour. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The free breakfast is delicious, with variety. The staff went beyond their duty with helping us out with so many things. I lost my phone, and the staff arranged all police reports, all communication, and drove me to the police station. I can highly recommend the Art Boutique hotel when in Hanoi. We really miss the staff there. For the price of the rooms, the quality and service is absolutely amazing, it is world class 5 star. We were amazed at how very reasonable the price was.

We'd like to add our review to all the positive endorsements this hotel is receiving. A comfortable, well appointed hotel with staff who couldn't be more friendly or helpful, this is better than a budget hotel. The staff really want you to enjoy your stay in Hanoi. And there is a laptop in each room! The location in the old town in excellent, with several of Hanoi's best street food establishments within 100 metres. Most of the interesting CIty sites are within walking distance, or a $2 taxi ride away - and the staff will make sure the driver knows where to go. Worth a five star rating.
