“Unexpected gem near city centre”

Four of us for four nights, could not have been better! Superb location, presentation, rooms and breakfast. Best of all the friendly, efficient staff - even fixed a broken shoe. Close to Hoan Kiem lake and pagoda, the Old Town, Museum of Women, cathedral and many restaurants. A must!

Room Tip: We had two front rooms, no problem with noise from the street.

A great place to stay - from the rose petals on your bed, to the daily fresh fruit platter in your room - plus an awesome breakfast. However, its the staff that make the real difference - friendly, eager and keen for you to have the best stay possible. They even sang Happy Birthday to my husband and gave him a birthday cake! Very helpful with concierge services, pick up and drop off to airport and local show and sightseeing bookings. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay there again!

This hotel was absolutely perfect in every way. Perfect location in the middle of the Old Quarter. Gourmet breakfast of fruits, breads, yogurt, meats, AND crepes, pancakes, pho, and noodles every morning. Very clean and spacious rooms with free bottled water and fruits every day. Most importantly, the exceptional staff. Friendly, remembered all of our names, extremely accommodating and arranged all of our tours and excursions for the week. Amazing hotel experience.

We stayed at this hotel twice (two nights before and after our trip to Halong Bay).
We all remarked how fabulous the staff was, greeting each of us by name and offering full concierge services throughout our stay in Hanoi.

The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast so far in Vietnam, and the location was perfect.
Clean, well appointed rooms were perfect size, the king beds were enormous!

The first two nights, we stayed in the front of the hotel, with street-facing rooms. It was fun to look out at all of the activity outside our room. Although the noise of the city was apparent when the windows were open, when we closed the windows, our room was a quiet oasis.

We would definitely stay here again, such a great value for a great hotel experience!!

Room Tip: Street facing room was fun.....back facing room, you may oversleep, no light from outside but very q...

When arriving in Hanoi we we're a bit bedazzled by the city. Our first impression was that it is a big, really busy and loud city. This changed when we entered the Art Boutique Hotel. It is located in the city center but because we had a room at the back we didn't notice anything of the traffic and the honking (a clean well equiped room, with a free laptop and WiFi, including a good breakfast). Couldn't have wished for a better hotel for our first two days! The staff was so helpfull, we never experienced it like this before. They helped us with everything (only when we asked, it was not like they we're in our face all the time); from planning our trip to Halong Bay till reserving the tickets for our night train to Hue. Even when we weren't actualiteit staying in the hotel anymore but we're waiting for our night train, they treated us very well. Accompanied us to the trainstation at 10 pm to make sure we would get there okay. If it wasn't clear yet by reading our review; if you ever visit Hanoi, we highly reccomend this hotel! Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable! Harmen and Kiki

Art Boutique made our time in Hanoi so lovely & stress free! So many wonderful things to say about this hotel!

They were easy to book through with great communication, rooms priced very affordably, way below the high standard they set and they sent a safe car to pick us up from the airport & were full of advice any time we asked for it.

The hotel is in a great location for adventuring through the old quarter, close to heaps of great food and sights, with a very short walk to the lake.
We had the family suite with balcony which was lovely, very clean and well appointed, good aircon, space to sprawl a little... just felt quality.
The breakfast was incredible, the Pho soup was really nice and there was a great spread of bread, fruit, juices, coffee and other treats.

But the highlight of the stay was the staff!!!!!

They were super super friendly, spoke great english, talking and joking pleasantly with us and all their guests. They took special care of us as we were on our honeymoon; they left a cake and rose petals in our room which was pretty cool!
They were incredibly helpful when needing help with booking tours and trips even going so far as to allow us a shower when we'd already checked out and sending a porter with us for free to the train station when we left (also after check out) to help get tickets and carry bags.... and when we got there one of their receptionist had followed us on a bike with a phone we had left charging at the counter! Another example of them going above and beyond!
SOOOOO NICE!

We found it so helpful as our first stop in Vietnam to get aquainted with any customs & the local way of life in a safe environment, before heading out on our own.
We loved our stay there and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Hanoi!

Room Tip: Family suite was awesome, two double beds with room to spread out and a balcony. Was luxurious for t...

I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2014 with 2 friends. On arrival on a damp Hanoi evening we were greeted by the friendly staff. We had booked a basic triple room which the staff explained to us was slightly cramped. She offered to show us the room so that we could decide on it or offered us an upgrade to a larger room for a little more. On viewing the first room we understood what they meant - the 3rd bed was more of a mattress and probably more suitable for a child. That said, we were on a tight budget so decided to go with it and it wasn't too bad. The room was spotless and comfortable although one of the first places I have stayed with no window in the bedroom!

The best thing about this hotel was the hospitality and the little extras that make a stay memorable. Each room has a laptop for use during stay with good free wifi. There was also fresh fruit and treats left each day. Breakfast was a la carte and you could reorder as much as you liked.

All the staff were fantastic - in particular the lovely lady at reception who answered all our questions! I would recommend the restaurant next door, Bun Bo Nam Bo - probably the best food we had in Vietnam!

Location wise the hotel was very convenient and surrounded by shops and travel agencies where you can book tours for the city or further afield to Halong Bay and beyond.
